I personally found the yoga to be awesome. Even with not being able to do all the positions. Its a good hour and half of getting your body and mind in sync.
JJ and Nitsy, as I understand it the point of the protein intake is to help with the muscle recovery. It should be taken every day you work out. I am taking it twice a day, once after my workout in the morning in my recovery drink and once in the evening. This is one of the things that is keep you pushing play when your muscles seem to be tired to go on. In my opinion. To each his own though.

Yea I typically try to stick to 1 shake per day at most. I like to drink mine with milk, and more than that is overkill for me so it made sense for me to drink it on the more strenuous days right after workout. I just make sure I load up more on meat & bean protein the days I don't drink it. It could be wrong but everybody's different  It also helps that I'm a black female, and milk isnt always nice to us. haha.. but i cant drink whey with water. *yuk*
Oh yea, I've determined that I hate yoga ... for now at least. The DVD is still playing, but I've quit and am just watching it right now. I'll give it another go at another time. What's the alternative to yoga?

It is different for everyone. I agree. You have to do whats best for you. Not everyone digests the whey protein the same either. If your loading up on other sources of protein, thats good as well.
I Don't think there is a subsitute for yoga. It definitely is not easy. Guess im one of the few who enjoyed it.

the yoga was definitely hardcore. i was covered in sweat after this first 20 mins and still had an hour to go  I did the positions the best i could. some of the positions were extremely hard to do because of my scoliosis. so i just took the positions as far as i could take them.
Good Luck on Legs and BAck and ab ripper X tomorrow.

no way never take a day off. legs went really well and yea that was a lot lunges. i had a problem w/ a few because i didn't have enough space in my living room to stretch all the way out. made it all the way through and my legs are very shaky. i love it. i still can't do a pull up or chin up with out the chair. i think using the chair wrong anyway for the pull ups/chin ups. i feel like my chin up bar is to low for some reason. when i stand next to it the top of my head is already above the bar. could someone post up a picture of what their chin up bar set up looks like on a door frame?

Hey, how tall are you? My pullup bar is pretty low as well, but I found that if I grab hold and let my feet bend at the knees then I can get a good pull up in. I wish my door frames were taller but I guess you just have to work with what you got. And I love that shaky feeling as well! lol, Wall sits are like hate it hate it hate it HATE IT! ahhhh Done! love it love it love it!

Jezpy - I'm 5'-11", maybe if i put the chair further out pull ups won't be so bad. i feel like I'm using my legs more than I am using my arms.
So how awesome is Kenpo X. I had a blast doing it and it's one hell of a workout too. def hit the recovery drink afterwords. I'm really looking forward to next Saturday doing it again.

gc i did the kenpo x on saturday, felt like an absolute pleb... so out of sorts... no coordinatination what so ever.... i was soaked after the workout but felt like i didnt do much.... must have been doing it wrong... looking forward to start of week 2 this evening.... missed stretch x yesterday...feel a bit disappointed about that... did any one do that...was it any good?

nitsy, kenpo X did take alot of coordination. I had to watch them do the moves twice and then i jumped in and started. It wasn't still last night i finally felt something from kenpo X. my legs are really sore.

I liked the kenpo. My hear rate really went up with that one, I was sweating like you couldn't believe. I did not do the X stretch, but you don't really have too. Its stretch or rest.
Did my week 2 chest and back this morning. Still feeling good !

I just kicked off week 2! Didnt have to rest nearly as much this time, and I was able to do more reps of each exercise too. Feelin the burn!

Morning guys and girl,
i started week 2 last night, it was a bit easier though still on the knees for all the pushups but did more... I am away from home at the moment for a few days so working out in the hotel which i have to say its a bit weird... managed to snapped the red resistance band.... pinged me in my face... well thats what you get for getting cheap resistance bands.... any ways couldnt do ab ripper last nite so i did it this morning defintely feelng it ...yes hated it but loved it as well... looking forward to plyo this evening..

did plyo last night, it was really fun, my heart was pumping like mad... managed to do most of the exercises with much better coordination and felt really good to be able to do them well...
though does any one find the 'bunng hop' (chest knee tuck) quite difficult i cant seem to do one... another problem is the rock move which i cant seem to do everything else i am ok with.. any ideas on how to imrpove these two?

I'm getting behind ... didnt get to X it yesterday because I drove up to Cleveland for last night's game. Just got back a couple of hours ago, but tomorrow, I'm headed to Louisiana. I'm gonna have to work it out and double up somewhere

just finished up shoulders and arm and ab ripper X. glad i got myself a few new weights so i could handle more the the exercises. i still can't figure out how to do oblique V ups yet. for some reason i can't get my body to move that way. its really frustrating. any advice?

gc nah havent quit, dont intend to either, been loving it so far, thought due to a weird and hectic weekend i missed kenpo on saturday and couldnt do it on sunday either... but back onto everything again today... look forward to my knee push ups and chair assisted pullups should be good... let us know how you all get on
