I also do the chocolate milk with protein powder. Since I cut out all the sweets from my diet it's like a tasty treat after a hard workout.

Oh man!!! I just finish Plyo ... and it kicked my butt, but not as much as it COULD have. I found myself resting quite a bit between the more strenuous exercises, but I made sure I did AT LEAST 20 seconds of each of the 30-second exercises (some of them I did completely). Of the less strenuous ones, I tried to do the full set. This is definitely gonna get better
It felt good to feel that sweat dripping off my chin, though!
Yall should have seen my right-handed "pitch & catch" LoL. AWFUL!! (I'm left-handed). But my right-handed catch and shoot basketball movement was on point because I used to play. Just though the baseball movement was so funny. I had to crack up at myself (and actually had to re-wind to try to get it right)

jj1814, I felt the same way. I found the hardest part were the jump squats. By the 30 sec mark my legs were burning. But the sweat on the mat at the end of the workout was worth it.

Arms are still sore from day 1, and plyo was actually pretty fun. Thighs are pretty sore. Looking forward to day 3 after work tonight.

And we're on to day 3, everyone still with it?
I'll be doing the shoulders/arms/abs here in a few minutes. the scale this morning said I'm down -1.8 lbs and down -0.9% body fat. I think its mainly due to the change in the diet. I was drinking 3-4 sodas a day, replaced all those with water. been eating the nonfat yogurts as snacks and eating much better dinners. grilled chicken, rice and black beans which oddly enough is one of our favorite dishes.

Still here, and still bringing it. Too much Tony already. ha ha.
I did my shoulders and arms this morning. Great workout. I feel all tight in the upper body area. I like it.
I'm really looking forward to Yoga tomorrow.
I haven't scaled myself yet this week. Just the overall feeling is better for me. The water consumption is the biggest factor for me I think. I'm taking in about 100oz of water a day. I am also liking the whey protein intake.

I'm using the excel spreadsheet to track weight, body fat, etc. I like seeing results regardless of how small. Todays workout was good, I really needed a workout like this today over the cardio intense one from yesterday. Yoga should be good tomorrow.
Thursday is yoga, Friday is legs/back/abs and saturday is kenpo.
I was happy to see that I was able to do 121 reps on the abs today where as monday I was only able to do 91.

jj are you doing 3 or 6 meals a day?
I wake up and have a small shake, breakfast bar or banana with a cup of OJ. then i do the workout, drink the recovery drink and take my vitamins. depending on how close lunch is, ill have a nonfat yogurt before lunch, but normally ill have a sandwich for lunch. in the afternoon, ill have a small protein bar or nonfat yogurt or some fruit, then finally for dinner, something sensible. I think ill be making rice and black beans tonight. I can't say that I've really been hungry at all this week.
oh, and drinking water all day helps too.

i usually wake up around 9 (work from home) and it goes something like this...
9:00 (sometimes 10:00) - breakfast: yogurt or cereal or oatmeal
an hour later, my tummy is always growling again but i ignore it
12:00 - P90x
1:00-1:30 (immediately after workout) chocolate milk or 100-cal/serving protein hake for post-workout recovery
3:00 - something light for lunch. today it was lemon-peppered chicken breasts
6:00 - fruit or something else small to snack on to hold me over to dinner
before 8:00 - dinner
I try not to eat anything after 9 PM. So the 12 hours between dinner & breakfast, my stomach is feeling neglected.
Yea I've been drinking a lot more water lately, even b4 I started the program. I noticed I used to have a tendacy to sit around all day without drinking ANYTHING (I dont drink a lot of sodas, and I dont keep juice in the house unless it's grapefruit juice - which I havent had in a while).

Shoulder and Arms went pretty good for the first time. I def have to go and get some more dumbbells. i found my self either doing over 12 reps w/ a lighter weight and then only being able to do 4 reps w/ a heavier weight. so ill def be out this weekend getting some more dumbbells. Ab Ripper X went a lot better this time around, just because I'm starting to get the forms down a lot better.
Eating wise I'm still getting hungry now and now. I wake up at 6am and its breakfast w/ protein shake. then i eat again at 10am, noon, 2pm, 4pm(all at the office) and by 6pm I'm doing p90x, then protein shake and dinner. i usually eat fruit and vegetables during the time I'm at the office. should i just up my intact of fruits and vegetables at work? what is some healthy food that is good to eat while working on the computer at work?
Good Luck tomorrow w/ day 4!

hello everyone, as you guys were talking about food i just wanted to run my food routine by you guys...
6:45 - lemon water
7:15 - Museli cereal with 5 or 6 almonds added to it
9:15ish - a fruit usually banana, satsumas, grapes or another different variety
11:15ish - 1/2 sandwich or a 1/2 salad of some kind
1:30ish - finish the rest of the lunch
2:30-3:00 - another peice of fruit
4:30-5:00 - another peice of fruit
6:00 - P90x
7:30ish - a meal with a glass of protein water
9:30ish - a few bits of nuts
10:30-11:00ish - sleep
I would love to know what you guys think about this and where you reckon i mite be able to just add a glass of water with protein powder, i was thinking about 4:30ish
also i found yesterdays arms work out a bit easier then when i did the first time, so i think i need to buy new weight too as the bands i have dont seem to be very good... bought them cheap from tescos (walmart style supermarket)
with ab ripper x : i seem to struggle with oblique V ups, can only do about 8 on the the right side and about, yep, none on the left, any alternatives to this
similar problem with crunchy frog can only do about 12-15 in total but i feel thats due to lower back pain or ache that seems to come on quite quickly so i have to do about 8 then stop do some more then stop... any had a similar problem?

Nitsy,
That meal schedule looks really good. I'm complaining now, but I know my metabolism hasnt gotten to its highest level yet because I used to have to eat every 2 hours or so like you are when I was working out before. I really don't usually eat breakfast so I have to force myself just so I can get my metabolism kicked up. Lookin good!
If that were my schedule, I would probably add a whey protein shake on the day following our heavy muscle work-out since you do the workout so late & eat dinner immediately after.
So say on Monday we did Chest and Back.... on Tuesday, I would drink a protein shake either early in the morn, or at some point in the day on Tuesday BEFORE the next workout.
If you were doing the workout earlier in the day, I would have suggested that you drink the whey protein shake immediately after the workout if you had a few hours between workout and dinner.

JJ thanks for comments dude really makes me feel better, i really like the idea of the protein the next day... i will give that a shot on saturday morning aafter tomorrows workout... the only reason i eat like this its cos couple of years ago i lost of lot of weight due to lets say bad smoking (both types), drinking and hardly eating university habits + a few different substances now and again... when i got home i thought i should get healthy so started eating regularly.. what also helped was ...am a bit ashemed to admit this but.. a weight loss and healthy eating habits hypno cd.. i listened to it every morning for about 6 months... i dont listen to it any more but...now even the slighest bit of hunger creeps up i cant ignore it at all or i feel all out of line.. weird right!

Arms & Shoulders went well last night. Gotta admit that my abs were still sore from Monday, so ARX was pretty tough. My legs are still sore from Plyo as well. Basically sore all over and loving it. I'm excited for my first ever yoga session tonight despite all of the hate Yoga receives on these boards. Maybe I'll feel differently afterwards...
Keep it up everbody- half way through week 1!
