I havent done mine yet.... kinda nervous. I plan to do the fitness test here in a few minutes, and the first day's workout around 4 PM.

I had planned to do the fitness test yesterday, but went to the football game and after that, got my last fill of filthy eating in :-P

don't fear the fit test. I was afraid I wasn't going to pass but ended up doing ok. The only thing we weren't able to do were the pullups.

We're both sore today, but i think it's a great start, looking forward to tomorrow!

I just finished the first workout ... now all I wanna do is SLEEP!!

I'm probably not doing my chair-assisted (well, in my case stool-assisted) chin-ups correctly but I figure it's a start. I hadnt been in the gym for about a month - suprised at how much strength I lost in that time. Pushups were kicking my butt!

no, i didnt buy the recovery drink, but i see they keep pushing it in the vids. I'll think about it ... figured I'd just do whey protein by itself.

Re:Oct 18/19 Group! 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, I started the program today also, I had just finished doing the lean p90x version. I'm a male 22 years of age and was 210 lbs worked out and exercised quite a bit a while back and got to 185 ish and I've been stuck there for like 1 year I guess it's what we call the "plateau", so I'd consider myself semi-fit. Cutting to the chase when I was doing core synergistic today I lost my breath a few times and just take minor small rests but pushed on before I fully recovered. At one instance I started to lose my breath and rest again but this time I had a little throwing up sensation...like when you're really sick, I kept getting that sensation for 30 minutes even after the whole workout. Anyone had this before? I wasn't working out on an empty stomach I had food 1-2 hours before and wasn't stuffed, I felt right and good that's why I started. Anyways is this a bad thing? What can I do? I want to maintain a healthy exercise and diet to lose fat. Thanks much for any help.

" I had a little throwing up sensation."
Yea, I got that too. Wasn't sure if it was the shake, the exercising or what, but I figure as long as I dont pass out, it's not that bad.

I'm 30yrs old, 5'11" 225lbs and I should be around the 190 mark. Played soccer from 4 to 16 and then stopped and slowly been adding weight ever since.

As far as the recovery drink, marketing or not, it seems like it helps. I didnt get the p90x stuff, we got the VPX NO Synthesize stuff (watermelon flavor).

The girlfriend said in the middle of the day she felt sick and light headed. Not sure if it was the shake, recovery drink, vitamins or what. She's not gonna workout until tomorrow night, so we'll see if its the recovery drink or not.

Re:Oct 18/19 Group! 5 Months ago Karma: 0
So I want to how everyone did with their 1st days workout and the Ab Ripper X workout. I did my abs at night last night. I had tried to do them right after the chest/back and there was no way. It was much easier later in the day.

Today I did the Plyo workout. I loved it. Felt good to get my body all worked up.

I know this sounds crazy, but those of you looking for a recovery drink and not spending alot of money. Chocolate milk, yes thats right. Look it up, there has been plenty of studys and results showing good old fashioned chocolate milk does just as good as most recovery and better than others. Plus this gives you a chance to throw your whey protein in with it and get it all in one shot.

Took our Day 1 photos and rocked out Chest & Back and Ab Ripper X last night. Whew! I'm glad AbRX is on the same dvd because I don't know if I'd have been able to change it. Lookign forward to Plyo tonight. Good luck everyone!

Chewy - you're using just standard low fat chocolate milk as your recovery drink?

Yes, after doing a good amount of research online. This is what I came up with in order to save money and still get the benefits of a recovery drink. Chocolate milk contains an optimal carbohydrate to protein ratio, which is the critical aspect for helping refuel tired muscles after strenuous exercise. The ideal is a skim chocolate milk as the excess fat is not necessary.

Plyo was tough, but I really liked the way it finished. I've also heard low fat Chocolate milk works as a recovery drink.
