swapped out chest and back for shoulders and arms today (my son hid my bands!)

i'm having a hard time getting up in the a.m! (hence my early rest day yesterday). anyone else finding that they need more sleep?

good luck to everyone today and welcome to the new folks!

How many hours of sleep are you getting? I go to bed around 9-9:30 and wake up at 5-5:15 and I feel great. Are you getting enough food? Maybe you aren't eating enough and thus feeling tired. Try going to bed a little early and eating a little extra and see how you feel.

at night I am pretty beat around 9:30 pm...I usually get 7 to 7:30 hours of sleep weeknights and 10 hours on one weekend morning. I feel pretty good and less tired in the morning.

Re:oct 12th group.. 5 Months ago Karma: 0
wow! i'm only getting maybe 5-6 hours a night? i got to bed around 11pm and get up around 530am. not to mention my 3 month old wakes up around 1am/2am to eat.

i've been trying to sleep earlier, but by the time my 3yo goes to bed, it's already 9 and i haven't hung out with my husband!

maybe i can try to get a nap in during the day?

as far as eating, i know i'm eating enough. haven't cut back too much since i'm also nursing....

thanks for the responses!

No wonder you're so tired. You're only getting 5-6 hours after putting your body through such a beating. It's during the rest that our bodies repair itself and we gain muscle. try sneaking in an extra hour and or taking a nap. You'll be surprised how much better you feel once you get more rest.

Had to swap Chest and Back with Plyo yesterday due to no access to chinup bar. So doing Chest and back today instead (plyo day), any suggestions as how I should go about the rest of the week re: workout plans?

Do you mean caffeine/ephedrine? You should be careful with that, I've heard stories of people having heart attacks from using that and over exerting themselves.

Plyo down as well and boy it was rough. It was kicking my butt but i managed to finish. See you all tomorrow.

yah i get about 6-7hrs... adults should get ~7hrs a nite... but of course its hard with kids and esp newborn.. and then wanting time to chill with the spouse or just to chill. heres wat i used to tell my wife..u should nap when the baby is napping... yah u might want to catch on chores..but that can wait.. get some rest.

Re:oct 12th group.. 5 Months ago Karma: 0
yah my body was tellin me to stop today. i was doin chest and back at the gym. and i got thru the 1st set pretty good.. i was doin a good amount for each..tryin to get at least 2-5 more per exercise from last week. but i started feelin a bit beat... i started takin breaks between the exercises..gettin water. so halfway thru the 2nd set ..at heavy pants i stopped... i felt too whooozy. felt light headed and called it quits. sat down for a good 15mins ..ate an apple. and then left.

i have noticed that im startin to eat more and crave more food. so i gotta plan it rite..cuz these exercises are looking for a lot of energy. im gonna start eatin right before i get to the gym. a protein bar or something.

and now im gonna do a full set tonite and then abs...just to finish it up.

Hi all,

Found this board and I'm excited to see fellow p90x'ers who started on the same day as me! Just a little about myself and my p90x journey.

Name: John
Age: 21
Starting weight: 182 lbs
Height: 5'7"

Since starting I've completely changed my diet. Im eating breakfast for the first time in years! And finding that I'm having much more energy throughout the day, also snacking healthy inbetween meals is helping me alot. My diet is as follows

Morning : either a bowl of Oats (plain) or a small egg white and lean turkey lunch meat omelete. Flip floping daily is keeping me from getting bored.

9AM piece of fruit and some nuts (pistachios (LOVE THESE) or unsalted dry roasted peanuts.

Lunch : Either Salad with grilled chicken strips and lite dressing, bowl of fruit, or lean lunch meat sandwich on whole wheat

3-4PM : More nuts usually sometimes protein bar

Dinner: Microwaved potato (plain), Healthy serving of broccoli, baked or grilled chicken breast or filet of tilapia or salmon.

WORKOUT

Post workout : Im having a GNC protein powder shake with small scoop of creatine.

Supplements: 3 capsules of Tonalin CLA, and Flaxseed Oil, 1 Men a Days

So Thats about it! Last week wast absolutely brutal! My entire body was killing me all the way up to rest day! But I kept bringing it and pressing play! And today were already at Day 9! w00t! I am going to have to admit my fav is Kenpo, and yoga its me nemesis! I hate it! but still trying to bring it though!

Good luck everyone and keep pressing play, remember your not the only one!!

Welcome John!! You're making me feel old!! (38)

Just finished Plyo!! I cheated though,,,,,,,,,NO ROCK STAR HOPS!! I really cannot stand those things. I guess it's just the arm movements though.

I am buzzing right now and it feels good!!

Now off to the shower and bed,,,,probably won't fall asleep until 1230-0100 considering how up I am right now!!

Good luck everyone,,,,Hope you did good in your workouts! Remember that Plyo will be a little easier next week!
