TOPIC: New to P90X

Hi y'all. My names Kevin. I'm 5'9" and I used to weigh 210 I did a low in fat diet in January and I'm now at 196. I started p90x yesterday February 2nd. I did chest n back. I pushed myself to my limits with pushups but I feel like I could've done a better job with pull ups. I paced myself a lil too much. I loved the experience, Tony is a great motivator. My main focus is to lose body fat. I'm hoping my increase of muscle and endurance will help me take it there. I look forward to trying out all the different exercise routines. If anyone has any tips to help me get to my weight lost goal faster. Please let me know.

welcome to the boards! Best advice i can give is to bring it in the kitchen as well, make sure you are cooking most of your meals, and drink only water for the most part. good luck!

Welcome.
Nutrtion is most important. Avoid cheat days or cheat meals. There is an app called My Plate on www.livestrong.com that will help you track and plan your meals. Stick to the nutrtion guide and you will have great results. About the workouts, all I can say is DON'T SKIP YOGA!!! Good luck. |

I'm almost done with week 2 and I'm already seeing results. I worked out before I started p90x 6 days a week about an hour a day. I never stuck to a good nutrition plan. This time I have and like everyone has said, that is what will make the difference. Keep coming back to the forums- it has helped me alot.

Thank alot guys! I just did Plyometrics last night... WOW! I did the best I could, I'm def gonna step it up on week n.2 and week n.3.
