Hello,

I would like to thank everyone here for the help, its the only place I check when I have p90x question

my question is, I've been using resistance band and its my week 7 now, I have decided to move to pull-up bar instead of the resistance band, but I'm having trouble doing more than 4-5 max pulls ups with the bar.

should I stick with band, or do my best and forget the rest ?

If it was my first week, I won't ask this question, but since I'm in week 7, I don't know what to do really.

Thanks

Maybe both, or chair assisted instead of bands.

Do as many as you can unassisted then do to failure with a chair.

You will notice a increased heart rate and burn.

All of started at a very low number in beginning.

agree with Paul. just do what you can unassisted, and finish up with the chair. nothing wrong with that at all.

You know my problem with the pull up bar is honestly I am tall and wide.. Like for wide grip pull-ups. I can barely reach outside of my shoulders to do them. Then when I go all the way down my knees are only about 8 inches off the ground and for some reason it's uncomfortable on my legs tucking them up as hard as I need to..

I'm still really struggling with getting good numbers in my pullups so not sure what I can do to begin to fix that since I do max and then use my machine. I can't use a chair because I'm just to damn tall as compared to my bar..

Another thing you can do if you feel like your chair assisted numbers are a bit low is toss in a couple negatives. Start out at the top and resist as hard as you can on the way down. A couple negatives can really push the "pump" over the edge.
