It went so fast, I have no idea how good my form was. Even though it was a chest and back my arms hurt more. Is this normal? Also, I saw some people starting with the back flys with 100lb weights. I only used 15lbers...

Am I doing this right? I'm thinking of trying to redo the one I did today, tommorow.

yup that's perfectly normal, all those push ups and pull ups.
it doesn't matter what weight you use, as long as you feel the burn when you're supposed to. e.g 8-10 if you're going for mass or 12-15 if you're going for lean. that's when the second round comes in handy this way you got your form down pack with the lighter weight now you go for the burn.

One thing, after doing the first day which seems to have been chest and back, my arms (mostly my biceps) are really killing me. is that normal?

Although it may be called "Chest and Back" you are using more muscles in your body (including your biceps), so its normal.

Give yourself a week to get through the real painful soreness, and another week to get through minor soreness. After that I didn't feel sore until the rest week (where I did new exercises for the first time in CardioX and Core Synergistics). I'm on Week 6 and felt a bit sore after Week 5 but nothing that slowed me down.

Nothing compares to the first week. If you can make it through that, and are able to make the time commitment, then you should be able to get through 90days (I'm hoping to follow my own advice )

Listen to Kate on this one. She nailed it spot on. Tony and the crew get paid to be as fit as they are!! None of us started that way but with time you will keep up with them!!

Just keep pressing play

Do your best and forget the rest!!

i just got the dvds and the resistance bands, and kind of tried out the first workout to the halfway point. it about killed me. wow! i knew i had no upper body strength, but my pushups were really bad. i wasnt going low at all. i think i was getting 12-15 reps in at first, maybe less later, but in none of them did i really go very low.

it was the first time using the bands, and i am not sure how much weight to use. i know from reading i should be fatigued after 8-10 reps, but really have no idea what weight bands to use to get me in that ballpark.
another problem with this is that it took like double the time to get through cuz i had to try to add weight to the bands to try and get what seemed the right amount.

and also, i forget what the exercise is called , but leaning towards the door and pulling the bands back, my door was making some creaking noises and i was a bit worried the door would be pulled off and knock me in the head.

anyway , all this rambling was to say that my initial reaction to this workout is that it is much harder than i thought (and way harder than laying on the couch watching tony and co. do the exercises ) . and , it did cross my mind that maybe i am too old for this kind of intensity.

i am a 50 year old guy probably 25-35 pounds overweight (had a weight gain this year after losing about that much last year with regular gym attendance and eliptical machine usage 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours per session (i know its long, but i used to be a marathoner so actually am not bad at endurance kind of exercising). but, have no history with weight training, no upper body strength, the embarassing man-boobs / scrawny arms / no definition bit to match .... and not so confident that i can manage this program.

i will give it a go, and start in two days. if you dont hear from me, its cuz i have died trying. i am glad i found this forum- i would likely have not tried at all after my first test-run had i not been able to read the experiences of others.
