I have worked hard in my workouts and have done the assigned workout each day so far. So far am I on the Fat Shredder plan at 3000 calories. Do you think the is the best plan for me? It is very low in carbs, and right now I am about 13-14% bodyfat. Should I stick with this plan? My energy level has been alright in my workouts, although I'm tired the rest of the day. I don't know if that's due to my diet though, or if it's because my body is not yet used to the intensity of the workouts yet. Any advice is appreciated.

Even though your only supposed to have 1 carb a day, you can add another serving or two throughout the day. I try to eat oatmeal for breakfast, which sustains me through the morning time, and if I start bonking later in the day, I eat one of those 90 second microwave brown rice packets. About 15min later I usually feel tons better!

90 second rice is probably the worst you can buy... not the best suggestion... usually overloaded with sodium which isnt good...

3000 cals a day seems like a ton... if you are eating all health foods and one one carb a day then you are going to have to eat ALOT in order to hit that 3000 number...

It all depends on your current weight too...

I was 191lb to start and I am now about 178lb after 9 weeks... I am taking roughly 2000 cals a day... and thats what did it for me... weight wise....

I calculated my calorie intake on fitday. I have been eating over 3000 cals long before I started the P90X, and I still don't gain weight. I am only 19 years old and I have a pretty active lifestyle to go along with working out, which is why I can get away with it?

Would you recommended sticking with one carb. a day for now?

I use fitday, too. For me, it's infinitely better than the plan of keeping track of how many proteins, carbs, vegetables, fruits, etc I eat per day because some proteins have lot so fat or lots of carbs, and vice versa. Using fitday, you can keep track to the hundredth of a decimal the exact amount of protein, carbs, fat, and whatever else you want to keep track of. It's a little more time consuming, but since it's online you can do it on the fly. I use my computer at home, work, and my cell phone to take the few minutes to log in and add foods I ate. It will tell you how much you're eating and if you're hitting your % of protein, carbs, and fat goals. It's the best website I found for this.

If you're feeling sluggish, add fruit. That's what I started doing and it works great for me. I try to eat the heavier fruits that sit in your stomach longer, like apples and pears. Bananas are great, too.

Thanks for the advice. I will try that for a while, or I may start the endurance maximizer phase next week even though I've only done the fat shredder for two weeks. I don't have a ton of excess fat to lose.
