Hey! My name is Whitney. I just started (for the 2nd time) my P90x program. I was very dedicated to it for about 4 weeks prior to going on vacation. I was so please with the results and for once in my life, I *almost* loved my beach body!!

Yesterday was my first day this time around... I hope I stick to it. I got up for Plyo this morning and barely made it through the first 25 minutes! I *hope* I will be able to someday make it to the end!!

I am planning on not taking it as seriously this time, and I'm going to plan on doing it 5 days/week, 6 if it's convenient. Has anyone else cut back on the days??

I am excited and pumped and happy to have this forum for support!

yea, i did a "lite" version my second time through. but thats because i knew i was going straight into round 3, well, or what i like to call 2.5. the strength routines(sans legs & back) and yoga were the only ones i REALLY stuck to. i did the others when convenient. but now on round 3/2.5, i'm trying to be as strict as possible! the diet as well!

It's up to you but not taking it seriously and doing P90X when it's convenient is the wrong approach if you ask me. Of course doing something is always better than doing nothing but they say to "Bring it!" not "Bring it when you feel like it."

lets see, 90 days...hmm, that would put you at June 29th...this is April, yes life gets in the way, but its all about where you want your body...do you want the abs, the toneness, the woohoos from the people that pass by? ITS ONLY 90 DAYS,,,,bring it as hard as you can for 3 months...after that, you want to let up, then let up, but you bought this program for a reason, becuase you werent happy with the way you looked or wanted to change something...you didnt watch the infomercial going....hmmm i want to do that program half way...I have attached a video link that i think explains it all.

I read your post earlier and wanted to sit on it awhile before I commented on it. Legs and Addict are right on the money. If you want results, you are going to have to commit to doing it 100%, not kinda, or when it's convenient. Hell, if I waited until it was convenient for me to work out, I'd either be doing it at 11 pm or not at all. My diet has not been 100% where it needs to be, but life and finances have gotten in the way at times. But my workouts are one thing that rarely fall through the cracks. If life dictates that I miss a workout, I double up on Saturday. I can count on one hand the number of times I have totally missed a workout and not made it up at some point during the week...and I'm on day 80.
This program is expensive, and designed for people who are willing to work hard and bring it. If you are willing to shell out the $120 or so to buy the program, you should be willing to get your money's worth out of it.
"I hope I stick to it. I got up for Plyo this morning and barely made it through the first 25 minutes! I *hope* I will be able to someday make it to the end!!" I have a problem with this. You "hope" to stick to it? You "hope" to make it to the end of plyo? Hate to be harsh, but with that attitude, you won't make it. Going into any workout routine, you can't just hope you make it, you have to tell yourself that you "will" make it, and you "will" stick to it.
"I am planning on not taking it as seriously this time, and I'm going to plan on doing it 5 days/week, 6 if it's convenient. Has anyone else cut back on the days??" I also have a problem with this. You are planning on not taking it as seriously this time? You are setting yourself up for failure. You have to take any exercise routine seriously, but probably P90x more than most. Working out 5 days a week, 6 if it's "convenient" is just not going to cut it with this. I really don't think you are ready to commit to this right now. It sounds like you kind of want to do it, but don't want it to interfere too much with your life. If that's what you want, this is not the program for you.
If I came off as harsh, I apologize, but I honestly think that you are not mentally prepared for this, regardless of the fact that you've done it before.

If you are going to skip and extra workout each week, make it yoga. I only say that because it makes the most sense. It is like a day of stretching to recover from 3 days of hard lifting and tough cardio before hitting it again hard for 2 days before break day.

Honestly, in order to get the best results, you really need to be committed to the program. If you start skipping extra workouts or not finishing them, you won't get the best possible results.
