hey my friend wants me to use his p90x dvds since he has seen lots of results and doesnt need it anymore ( he made his own routine to maintain ) but im 5'9" 245 - 250 . im by no means weak because i do construction work every day but i have no stamina and im wondering if this is for people who are already kinda thin and just want to strengthen . or will it work for someone who is by medical standards morbidly obese ? i have my wedding that i need to look good at in about 9 months and this seems to be what i could use to look better but i feel like im too fat .

I would say yes given the results that I have seen but a few words of advice if you will let me:

1) Like myself, you probably will have to do the whole program more than once to look like what you want to look like.
2) The stamina will come in time. Try to do as much as you can but don't forget that you can pause the DVD at any time if you REALLY can't carry on - don't take too long a break though.
3) Try not to keep up with the people in the DVD's, especially AB Ripper X. They've already done the whole thing so have an advantage.
4) Don't let the initial pain (I mean ache!!) after the first few times put you off. Keep on going through the pain (I mean ache!)

Hope that helps and good luck.

Uday

I agree with Uday, do not try to keep up with them. Also, your stamina will probably increase once you are following the nutrition plan. Even though I don't have a lot of weight to lose, I pause the DVDs when I feel the need, and I do modified versions of the exercises when I have to. As time goes on, you'll have to pause and modify less. You will have dramatic changes in 90 days, regardless of whether you are at your goal. I have just started Round 2, you have time to do 2-3 rounds before your wedding, you'll look great!

cool ive been doing a " 6 minute abs on the couch " workout that i cant quite seem to do like the guy on the vid . so i modify it to what i can do . i guess ill do that with the p90x program . i should build pretty fast , i have a large frame . when i was a high school freshman i was the only freshman in weight training in an all seniors group of jocks . i kept up with every lift ....... even if i started to see stars on the lift ! lol i suppose all the oxygen was going to muscles instead of brain .
anyways thanks for the input and ill be sure to take before and after pics , so others may be inspired
