Hey,

I started p90x once before and I lost 10 Lbs in 30 days and was so excited, but the expense of the diet was too much. Does anyone have an suggestions to cut the cost?

What part of it was expensive?

For me, its been WAY cheaper than eating out!

My diet consists of mostly chicken breasts (buy in bulk, freeze them), ground turkey (buy in bulk, brown it, freeze it), water (cheap/free!), nuts (fairly cheap if you buy store-brand), etc.

You don't have to use supplements. Recovery drink can be substituted with chocolate milk (4 bucks for a gallon), protein can be eaten naturally, no need for expensive protein shakes. A multivitamin is good, you can get them at CVS for pretty cheap.

Ahh, I have absolutely zero experience with the P90X recipe book. I've been a portion guy since the start.

Seems to me that most recipe books are incredibly expensive to start, because you need to buy whole cans/jars/containers of 1 thing for that individual recipe. I guess one you build up your cabinet with these things, the trips to the grocery store will get easier on the wallet.

Give the portion method a shot, it's a lot simpler and by the looks of it, cheaper.
