Hey Navy.. I just want you to know that you your post last night inspired me to get up and get my stretch done. I was planning on skipping it, but I didn't want to leave you hanging.. especially since you thru a run on top of it. I finished it just after midnight!

I just finished knocking out the last core workout for another 5 weeks! I really enjoy this workout, although I don't attempt the Dreya roll anymore. Other than that, I knocked it out in good form with lots of energy!!! My arms were burning quite a bit on the over and under push ups and the Plank to Chatarunga run, but that is nothing new.

Can you believe we only have just over a month left??? Time has flown by!! You ready for the 60 day pics? On that spreadsheet, it says to take those on day 56 (Sunday), so I'm going to do that in order to stay on track with my weekend measuring.

Is any of the team still with us??

Hi guys,

I know I am not part of the original crew, however, I started on the same day. I have been following the posts since we are in sync.

Anyway, just wanted to stop by to say I have enjoyed the posts in this thread.

Thanks Big! I will feel more comfortable about posting here now!

Btw, I wonder if Christine comes to the site?

For those of you who know, we are talking about this person...

Great idea on starting the new thread. I did crane non stop for 45 seconds before I lost my balance for a sec. That is a record for me, hopefully I will beable to go the whole minute at some point. Also, I can now do the stretch where you reach under your thigh and grab your arm, I never could get that down and felt like I never would.

Boomer, welcome! Would love to hear your thoughts and progress on this fitness routine.

Hurt, now finishing after midnight is dedication! I have altered sleeping patterns to complete some of the workouts, which I probably wouldnt have done if it wasnt for everyone motivating each other.

I just realized I did yoga today and it was supposed to be core! Looks like I will have core tomorrow..oops! I was wondering why you said you knocked out your last core workout...

Re:Are you Starting P90x Today - Continued 1 Year ago Karma: 3
Well i did core today because of the mixup I made with the schedule. Some of those excercises are extremely tiring. I always try to do the movements for the entire alloted time with the exception of the lunge, kickback, curl and press movement. With 30 pound dumbells I'm only able to go for a little over 2 minutes.

I hope the team makes it over here to the new thread!

BigHurt, how was yoga?

Hey Navy... I swapped out the rest day, so I'll do Yoga tomorrow. I joined this kickball league and practice was a bit more than I anticipated. I had an on the field collision and my neck isn't feeling all that hot, so I'm opting out of doing Yoga. I really want to be 100% on Monday for the start of Phase II. Also, I'm doing my 60 pics tomorrow. You ready for yours?

Re:Are you Starting P90x Today - Continued 1 Year ago Karma: 3
well i did the stretch x and then went and did some light cardio for 40min at the gym today. I took photos since Bighurt did and because it was at the end of phase 2. I had taken day 45 pics and to be honest there wasnt much difference between 45 and day 57 but then again it's only a little over ten days. I have to agree with you Hurt that the "pump" is gone because of the rest week. Anyways one more phase gents...time to get SERIOUS!

Re:Are you Starting P90x Today - Continued 1 Year ago Karma: 4
Thanks Navy!! I'm with you and it is time to get SERIOUS!!! I'm ready to bring it. I am so sore from this kickball practice though... I'm shocked because my conditioning is up to par. I guess it is just the difference between doing intervals on an elliptical machine and actually sprinting outside. It uses a whole different set of muscles and I'm paying for it now. My Yoga today was so so due to that. I feel like I can barely walk now. I'm gonna take some Motrin and hopefully I'll be good to go tomorrow. It is a good thing that tomorrow is Chest and Back because I'd be done if it were plyo day or back day.

Re:Are you Starting P90x Today - Continued 1 Year ago Karma: 3
Wow today was one heck of a workout. I was able to increase all my reps on the first time through and was able to increase most and match a couple the second go around. I was absolutely drained at the end of the workout. I start off with 60 pushups which sets the tone for the routine. I had almost no energy for ab ripper x and was concerned I wouldnt be able to finish it. My energy actually increased as it went on. I ended by using light weights on the last excercise. What a day!

BigHurt, how did you do with day one of phase 3?

Hey Team... I had a pretty decent start to Phase III. I am quite a bit stronger than I was when we did this back in Phase I, so I was able to start out besting where I left off at. I did my normal thing and took some time before ARX, but I did it too soon after dinner and my legs were really sore so my form was off. I did knock out all of the reps that Tony and the crew did, but I wanted to take it up a notch. I'm very shocked at how my legs are still sore. This was very unexpected especially considering my conditioning. Oh well.. I guess it is what it is, but it does make me wonder if I will feel like this after each kickball practice/game. I hope not...

33 workouts left!!!

Re:Are you Starting P90x Today - Continued 1 Year ago Karma: 8
I was able to kick off phase III with great workouts. I replaced all the push-ups with dumbell bench presses with the exception of diamond push-ups and dive bombers. I even did extra sets of dumbell bench flys after the workout. Using the bench really helps to stimulate my chest. I just can't stress my chest enough with body weight push-ups.

I knocked out 510 reps of ARX and completed my day with Interval X Plus. IXP was a butt buster!!!

Getting psyched for plyo tomorrow!!!

Boomer, I had been wondering what interval x was and now I see it is an add on to the p90x program. how do you like it? After I finish the 90 days I might order the p90x plus program.

Boy did I kick butt in plyo today. I'm jumping higher and recovering quicker although there are still times throughout the routine where I'm out of breath.

Team, how did you guys do today?

Interval X Plus is a definite butt kicker! It is very plyo-like, except tougher... if you can believe that! I have decided to work it into my P90X workouts as part of my doubles. If you are kicking butt on plyo, I think you will be like it!

Well you convinced me to order p90x plus!

Today's workout was awesome. i was able to increase the reps in most of the excercises. I even did some more when he said everyone should do 16 just because there is a big difference between 30 pound and 50 pound dumbells. Man were my arms pumped after the workout!

Are there only three of us? Bueller...Bueller..Bueller

Hey Navy.. it does look like it is only the 3 amigos left. Maybe the other guys will come back.. I hope they didn't quit.

I brought it today, although I'm not using the weight you are. I probably could go that heavy, but my weights only go up to 55 and I'm doing a decent job using lighter weights now. I want to slim down, not bulk up anymore. I knocked out 400 reps in ARX!!

Good work today!!

Well, I am glad you guys let me on the team for this thread. I kind of feel like the rookie replacement for the guys that left.

Anyway, I had a great workout today too. I am also increasing my weights too.

I had an off day with ARX. Although I did 435 reps with my arms up, I had to push harder than usual. I think I used it all up during shoulders and arms. I was hoping to hit the same numbers (510) that I had on Monday.
