ok so the food pyramid suggests I have 6.5oz of protein from meat and alternatives a day but if I follow the p90x level 1 nutrition plan of 1800 calories a day with 5 servings of proten, than I am having too much. The pyramid also recommends more carbs. So then what is a good balance of protein to fat to carbs for losing body fat without eating too much of one macronutrient?

Well thats a really hard question to answer. Everybody's body is different. I usually tend to lean more towards the food pyramid because it has been proven to work over and over. Although it is not perfect by far.

You might have seen that but it's a good start. More carbs and more protein are not bad. The more you workout the more you need. Just experiment with it. Try the pyramid guide though. That has a better repuation than most diets.

No no. Not offended at all. I was just confused and second guessing myself at my reading abilities haha. Thought I was missing something.
