I also had some problem with my diet. I didn't do to bad but I have been so hungry lately. I am still keeping to the 300ish calorie meals but I get hungry after 2 hrs instead of the 3 I want. I also slacked on my workouts. I really wanted to go see the GSP vs Hardy fight and I had plans to but they fell thru. So what happened is I got a halfass 35 minutes of Yoga done and then another half hr of cardio.
I am a week behind the rest of you so this week and during my recovery I plan on busting up some cardio. Hitting my diet really and we'll see what happens. Hope everyone stays strong. Bear |

Congrats to you all still working on the 90 days. I'm still working at it just got way off track in Phase 2. After working out for 13 of the 28 days in February, It was discouraging. Good news is that IVe decided to give it another go, and after comparing my 30 day results from the classic and lean programs, I officially started the lean program today. Again congrats to all of you that maintained and kept up with the good fight.

The Jan 4 group will be done in just a few days.
I'm on workout 62 instead of 85. I'm shooting for 90 workouts not 90 days to evaluate my "90 day" progress. Lately I've been consistent with the workouts. I'm plugging away and getting better every day with regard to the nutrition. I've picked my calorie level for my weight, and picked the "energy" phase. I have been making a notecard every morning with a spot for 8 proteins (100 cal each), 2 dairy (120 cal each), 2 fruit (100 cal each), 3 veggies (50 cal each), 1 fat (120 cal), 3 carbs (200 cal each), and the spots for the snacks according to the nutrition plan. Takes literally 1-2 minutes. I also photocopied the "acceptable foods" list for the plan I'm on and have been carrying around my notecard and the food list in my pocket. Then at a glance, any time during the day, I can see how I'm doing today, and where I'm falling short on intake. On the back of the card I've been writing the food I need from the store when I run out. Even at 2500-3000 calories in the higher carb "energy" bracket, I've dropped waist size from 40" to 36" (recently) and ab muscles are showing up. So I'll see where I'm at in 30 more workouts. I'm happy with the results so far. Not cut like a diamond after 60 days like some of the other people are, but working on it |

Almost there!!!!
Congrats to everyone who has made it this far, and keep pushing play if you are behind a bit! We had to shift this last week out a bit, so instead of an off day on day 90, we'll have our last workout. Very happy with my results, but also kind of bummed that I didn't get quite where I wanted to be. I look and feel great, but I'm at the point where there are some stubborn parts hiding my abs, and I need to kick up some cardio to finish off. Healthwise I'm in outstanding shape now, loving it. The diet isn't the hard part anymore, it's the exercise for me (actually, just the time commitment). Carving out the time has been the biggest challenge, by far. The diet is now second nature, though I've ate clean for the most part anyway, just a lot more than needed. Anyone else feeling unmotivated this last week? I thought I'd be gung ho with the end so close, but these last few workouts seem to be the last thing I want to do. I really want to just go outside, go swimming, get some sun, etc. Not 90 minutes of Yoga. After this is over, we train 2 weeks for a 4.2 mile run (Pat's Run) then a couple of weeks of downtime, then I plan to start P180X, which I made up. Basically we will do a second round of this, but extend each week into two weeks, so only 3 workouts a week. Hopefully that will help us continue to maintain/increase strength, slowly gain some more results, but also get part of our general life back instead of a nightly dedication to working out. It has been very tough, with 3 kids (9, 6 and 3) and a busy schedule, to workout every night...but we've done it. Haven't done final measurements or pics yet, but I am down 25 lbs from the start, lots of inches and I know I added muscle all over. On the last legs and back pullups workout, I narrowly missed my goal of doing more than 100 dangling pullups (did 96) but hit my goal of doing double digit pullups on all 8 times. That's a monster improvement from the first week where I couldn't do double digits on them starting from a hop, and didn't even try a full dangle. |

Done! Very happy overall with my final results. No rock hard abs yet, but I wasn't expecting that. I do feel 10x (or 90x) better and I like the way I'm starting to look. I haven't been in this kind of shape ever. I went on a hike and a kayak trip this weekend and was leaving my friends in the dust without breaking a sweat!
Strength wise, I'm much stronger. I wasn't able to get much more than 6 pull-ups at the start and now I'm banging out 16+ no problem. I can knockout more push-ups and I improved on all of the various weightlifting routines. The only downside is I need to buy some new clothes. I went from a size 33 waist in my pants to a size 30, and that's even a little loose. All my shirts are too baggy now also. Overall I lost 15 pounds, getting down to 140lbs for the first time in a long time. I'd say that P90X has been one of the best things I've ever done. Keep at it everyone! |

I too am a little less motivated as we wind down. I did not reach my final goal (but very happy with the results) and will start a new run at a hybrid workout. I made it about 90 pecent of my fitness goal. Lost 23 lbs, dropped about three solid inches off the waist and just dug back in the closet for some nice "new/used" pants I haven't touched in quite awhile (yes they are still in style).
I will keep the resistance programs running but mix up the cardio in the new run. I will also be keeping the plyo in the program as it gives measurable improvement in all sports. Time commitment is getting tough and the wife is tired of being second fiddle to Tony but I have about 10 more pounds to drop. Came in second at the office Biggest Loser contest at 10%. Winner was at 13%. Great job folks. Keep the hard work up, the fitness up and weight in check. Mark |
