Clean Out Your Kitchen and Lose Weight

Introduction

If you are having weight loss issues, even with a diet that you know has worked for you in the past, it could be because you are including certain foods in your diet that are just terrible foods to eat.  Regardless of the specific diet you choose to follow, you will do yourself a huge favor if during your Spring cleaning of the kitchen you relegate all of the products listed below to the garbage bin and don’t purchase any replacements. By removing these foods from your kitchen/home you are removing any chance of adding these empty calories to your figure.

White Bread

One of the most deceptive foods currently in existence would have to be white bread.  It is bread that is heavily processed and refined to the point where it is basically just one large glucose molecule with no nutritional value of any significance.  Even enriched white bread is a pale imitation of whole wheat bread when it comes to having proper nutrients, so do yourself a favor and toss the white bread in favor of whole wheat bread instead.  Your body will thank you by functioning better for a longer period of time.

Soda

It isn’t easy to do, but if you can cut soda out of your diet, your body will thank you even more than it would with the previous suggestion.  A single can of any kind of soda usually has more than 100 calories and considering the fact that most of us drink multiple cans at a single time; it is not that difficult to imagine consuming in excess of 1000 calories just from soda pop alone.  Doing this once in awhile at a barbecue or party is fine, but if you’re drinking 3-4 cans of pop a day, you need to start cleaning them out of your fridge and not looking back.

Frozen Breaded Food

Breaded foods such as frozen nuggets and fish sticks may sound very convenient, but that convenience comes at the cost of healthiness because breaded foods tend to be loaded with fats from the deep frying process that makes them breaded in the first place.  The same can be true for the way in which many frozen dinners are also prepared, so if you want to purchase frozen foods, make sure you check the labels beforehand so that you know how many calories you are consuming.  Anything that is 300 calories or less in a single meal is a decent choice.

Normal Dairy Products

There is nothing wrong with dairy per say, but technology has bestowed upon us dairy products that have all of the benefits of dairy without some of the drawbacks.  When things like skim milk and cheese are available at the grocery store for the same price as homo milk and regular cheese, making the choice to buy the former is one that will benefit your pant size in the long run.

Conclusion

Start with these four products and then add in things like processed fruit juices for an even better result.  If you remove these foods and other high calorie / high fat foods from your kitchen, you will quite literally be cleaning out the fat and ensuring a better diet from here on in.  If it isn't in your house your temptations are limited.
