I have made it to Day 28 and I am down three pounds since my day 21 weight loss blog entry. That makes me pretty happy. I am now at 218.5 pounds and have lost a total of 11.5 pounds in 28 days. That, at least for me, is a good pace. I had a really good week with both exercise and the food I ate so lets get on to it and tell everyone what I did and maybe you can get some inspiration from me and join in. If you want to start from the beginning of my weight loss journey check out my weight loss blog entries .
Exercise Days 22 through 28 First the bad news. I have not joined the P90x crowd just yet. But their talks really do inspire me. The good news is I did get my push up chest exercises up to 11,9,7, and 5 reps for my sets. I did my normal work out routine on Sunday and Thursday which is 30 minutes on the bike at resistance 4 and the perfect pushups I just mentioned. Whle on Tuesday I replaced my workout with two hours of tennis playing doubles with friends. I really enjoyed that and must admit it is a lot more fun then sitting on my incumbent bike plus push ups with the perfect push up bars. I did have some problems doing the push ups on Thursday because my elbow was sore. I think it was from tennis as it was in my left elbow, which is my tennis forehand arm. Diet - Days 22 through 28 I did very well on my diet and stuck to my normal weekly ritual (see my diet area in this blog entry ).For my cheat meals I had pizza (dinner last night) and for lunch today cheeseburger and fries. Now I am back on to the body for life plan of 6 meals a day. I have had great success having the Chipotle salad with black beans, chicken or pork, double salsa, and a tiny bit of cheese. My favorite snack is still an apple + string cheese or a yoplait lite no fat yogurt (strawberry being my favorite there). Looking Forward to Days 29 through 35 I really don't have much to say other then I am losing weight. If I had to make a comment it is I forget to drink enough water still, I drink a little too much diet soda, and I forget STILL to have my 3:30ish snack which causes cravings at dinner time sometimes. So thats my goal for the coming week is to correct those things and I should be set. Exercise wise I think I am on track and ready to roll. I do hope to get tennis in again and when I finish writing this up I am off to the basement for my workout and to watch the NCAA (Memphis vs Texas I think). Until next week keep up the faith, you too can lose weight. I Promise!
