It is day thirty-five and I lost a half pound since day 28 (see my previous weight loss blog entries). That brings me to a total of twelve pounds in 35 days, not bad? I am not worried about the half pound this week as it tends to be where one week you lose 3-5 pounds and the next you lose zero weight or even gain a little weight. This week was pretty typical except for a bit in the exercise area which I will get to now.
Exercises Day 29 through 35Exercising is going really well. On Sunday I did my normal 30 minute bike routine at resistance level five plus my perfect pushup bars with 11,9,7,5 repititions. On Tuesday I did the exact same and Friday I decided to mix it up. I changed my incumbent bike routine to Interval Training. I did resistance level seven and this definitely made my legs burn a lot more. I enjoyed it when it was over but I was cussing at myself during it because it was definitely harder. I then played two and half hours of tennis yesterday which counts as my workout for today as I do just three workouts a week at this point. I am pretty sore today from doing back to back workouts on Friday and Saturday totally 3.5 hours.
Diet Day 29 through 35 I did really well on my diet this week (see weight loss tips and reviews ). Albeit I had a "cheat" meal on Friday night of ribs and fries and tonight the family is doing Ledo's pizza. So my "cheat" day I really am keeping to two cheat meals. Tonight I am treating myself with some type of sub and bacon cheese fries. Being on this diet the thing I crave the most are cheese fries. I do have a new favorite meal that involves brown rice + poultry of any sort with a tiny bit of teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and Sriracha hot sauce. I LOVE that hot sauce. I put it on everything now, even my eggs! It is so nice and hot I find that I drink a lot more water too. I do recommend if you try this to only drink water with your meals or you will consume a lot of un-needed calories or diet drinks which isn't good. Days 36 to 42
I hope this week proves to be true that I will lose 3+ pounds in the coming week but I won't be discouraged if not. I need (want?) to lose 15-20 more pounds before July 1st, my birthday and also my official summer time begins day. So in that vein of thought, I need to constantly remind myself to be good on the diet, don't eat junk! (which I dont) and keep the intensity on the exercises high or even better higher then in previous weeks. Hope you are finding something useful from my experiences and hope someone posts a comment someday!

, on 12-04-2008 16:25 Well, I'll leave a comment. I am just about to begin Weight Watchers by myslef, without actually joining. Not too sure if it is a good idea, but I have an exercise bike just collecting dust next to me and when I read your blog today, I felt a little inspired to get on it and lose my 35 pounds that I've packed on since I had my son 2 1/2 years ago. So, thanks...:-) Cynthia |
