As I finished day 70 today I can say I see the finish line for P90X and questions begin to form in my head, like will I continue to do P90X? The answer that is a pretty simple "sort of". I don't think I will commit to 6 days a week but I am thinking 4 days. My weight is still hovering right around 220 - 222 depending on the day I weight myself, but I must admit the last 7-10 days I have had some junky fatty food and WAY too many parties with lots of beer! I love the parties and social life so I am not giving up my beer! Please do check out my other p90x and weight loss blog posts if you have not yet here .
So what are my impressions of P90X Phase III? I like it. I have been sorer the last two weeks (days 57 thru 70) then since the first two weeks! I am guessing because its really mixing it up by alternating the rountines between the Phase I and Phase II weeks. For those of you who don't know. P90X Phase III has the first and third week doing what the first week of Phase I is and the second and fourth week doing what you'd do in the first week of Phase II. The recovery week for Phase IIi is week 5 (13 total) which is the same as the other phases.
For weeks 9 and 10 I once again substituted two hours of singles tennis instead of Kenpo. This has been great but a bit hard to play tennis because it follows less then 24 hours after I kill myself on Legs and Back! The back routines are no problem, but the leg routines kick my ass and I feel it during tennis. And now that it is 5 hours after tennis, my legs are cramping and sore as shit. But I love it, means I had a good two days of workouts.
So what else do I have to say about P90X? Oh yes, I have my day 60 pictures, I just need to get those bad boys uploaded. Definitely some improvement. I need to lay off the chips & queso or the french fries and crap like that and I'd be a LOT more cut.
Which leads me into WHY I was eating that way. It was a very stressful week with work deadlines and some home problems with pets health and gee, I guess I just wanted that Mamma Lucia Pizza ya know? Screw it, can't be perfect on the diet always, gotta have treat days. I just had a couple too many!
So stay tuned as I wrap up the final three weeks of P90X!
