Reviews of Body By Jake’s Tower 200, As Seen on TV
Randy Couture is a name that many people know instantly as being one of the greatest mixed martial artists to ever compete in the sport. The Tower 200 is a piece of fitness equipment that is based on the workouts that he does in order to get in shape. So there’s certainly a respectable name behind it, but the bigger question is one of whether it works or whether it’s just the latest in a long line of online duds. Our review below will help you decide if this product is something you want to purchase, so read on.
Realistic ExpectationsWithin the realm of trying to answer what is a realistic goal, it is first important to make sure that you have some realistic expectations about what you can actually get from the Tower 200. Firstly, you cannot get the same body that Randy Couture has. No matter what piece of equipment you use, that body is probably not going to happen for you. This is a man that works out every single day and makes his livelihood from staying in shape and being in peak physical condition. Those of us that work other jobs to make a living will never have the time to get our bodies into as good a physical condition as Randy Couture is currently in.
That being said, there are some good things about this product. The exercises that you can do number over 200 and for eachl of these exercises you can get up to 200 pounds in weight resistance . The equipment can be easily attached to just about any door in your house and once you start doing the 11-minute workouts according to the instructions you’ll be backed by a lifetime warranty for at least some of the parts of the product.
When you put all of these things together, what you’ll realize is that you can indeed get into great shape. You can get some semblance of a washboard ab and of course you can get healthy which should really be the main goal here. All of these things are possible and if you keep your expectations realistic (i.e. don’t think that in two weeks you’ll be the next Randy Couture), you should definitely be able to get some gains from using the Tower 200 Body by Jakes.
Setup and Exercise Instructions for the Tower 200
The Tower 200 has excellent documentation that comes with your purchase. Too many of todays fitness equipment like this have setup and use instructions that are vague. The end result is that you install them wrong and then just give up after a few days because the wrong installation makes them too hard to use.
From the moment you start using the Tower 200, you’ll be guided through the entire process. Installation is easy and the ability for it to hang on any door gives you choice about where you want to put it. Then, the exercises are clearly explained both in chart form and on a DVD that accompanies the device. Good documentation combined with well-documented results from proper use is all that anyone can ask from a fitness device and this one certainly does have both of those things.

, on 15-07-2010 20:38 I love my Tower 200, I have owned it for 6 weeks now, I got mine used for $100.00. It was easy to setup up, and I installed it on the heaviest door in my home and no issues thus far. I use it as a part of my Power 90 strength and resistance routine, in addition to my adjustable dumbbell set and my 15 & 20 lb kettle bell. I especially love the 11 minute routine, which after I use, I follow up with a few compound and isolation moves. It has a sturdy design, it is well manufactured, I have yet to experience any of the issues, that I am seeing posted on numerous websites and it holding up to my 6 feet 4 inch 270lb frame. I also have the extra hand/ankle grips, the straight bar and the 2 pairs of 40 lbs power cords. The results that I am seeing since owning it are drastic compared to using other resistance bands I own. Maybe it is mental, but my gains are starting to turn heads, it keeps me coming back for more. I will use it in the a.m. and in the p.m. |

4. tower 200 review Written by Susie, on 07-05-2010 18:50 I bought this for my fiance after rave reviews from the store salesman. I followed the instructions word for word and had it up on our standard bedroom door in 30 minutes. I tried the 11 minute workout that comes with it and it is an awesome workout. Can't wait to try the other workouts! No snapping bands for us yet! |

, on 31-03-2010 07:12 Just wanted to say a few things on this. I bought this hoping to inprove my mind body and spirit. Well let me tell you, it took me 2 hours to get it set up. afterwords there is an exsersize that you hold the handles and run foreword well I ran foreword alright the bands snapped and i went flying down my stairwell, I had to get 10 stitches in my head. So much for my hopes and dreams of improving my mind body and spirit. I am going to give it 3 stars though because I left it on my door and it kinda looks cool almost like deco art. |

Well i bought this thing hung it on my solid door and wham bam thank u man the darn thing snapped the door right off the hinges shooting wood and door frame everywhere. I was hit in the head with wood and metal.. needless to say i was disapointed. I didn't give up i placed it on my bedroom door, started to use it and the handle broke loose causing me to punch myself in the face... i had enough back to kmart with this..... |
7. Written by joe, on 22-03-2010 18:02 this thing needs a strong door. i tried it on an average bedroom door and it pops the door right open not anywhere close to the 200lb resistance. i think the door needs a good solid deadbolt. |

, on 19-02-2010 22:29 Hey everyone I got the tower 200 4 months ago and I have a sincere review. First off, let me say that without the proper nutrition you will never achieve the results you want. I’m not and will never be a body builder type, nor do I want to be! This is a perfect piece of equipment to add to any fitness program! Ok so, as far as the range of quality exercises, I have discovered even more than the workout chart and DVD’s have. As for the resistance bands, I think they are perfect for my fitness level. Obviously if you wanna be a meat head this is not for you, but as far as quality I would give it an 8 out of 10, only because I use it 6 days per week and work out on it for at least 30 minutes per day as “part” of my exercise routein! The bands wore a bit on me, but were still good, though I did get replacement bands and one of the plastic loops broke on me causing me to change out the bands and honestly if you have to change one pair you kind of have to change them all cuz they won’t be evenly worn. I wish the band connection loops were metal and that the handle grips were better quality, but other than that it has been awesome and I have increased muscle mass significantly and people, especially girls, have noticed the results and I almost have my six pack back! As far as the workout DVD’s if you think you’re gonna see results by working out 10 minutes per day, you’re dreaming, but if you use those as a guide and step up the workouts, this can deliver any gym exercise you will need to get in shape! I would say it’s worth the price and worth the committment! Oh and it could mess up the door slightly, but only as you do the setup if you scrape the door with the metal. But I have been using it religiously for more than four months and really intensly using it and the door I have it on is fine. I keep it on the door, but I did take it with me when I was away staying at a hotel for a week and it was easy to transport, carry and set up and take down, so if you’re ready to committ to using it in your workout plan and are willing to put in the time and eat right, you will get results! |

, on 10-02-2010 21:14 We found this equipment to be so easy to set up and understand, not like bigger pulley type equipment. You can easily take it off the door when you are done. You need to make sure the door is closed before you start power pumping! All of us in this family use this equipment it is easy to change the resistance and you really can do so many types of workout every muscle can be activated. Love it. | |
