Spinning Program - Getting a Gym Workout at Home

Over the years, spinning classes have grown in popularity, and now they are available at a large number of gyms around the United States. While they provide a great workout for people who can get to the gym, not everyone can afford that luxury. Because of that, Mad Dog Athletics has created a spinning program for people to do their workouts in their own homes.

Spinning Program DVDs

The home based spinning program is similar to the program used in gyms. However, instead of having a trainer at the front of the class, people have DVDs to follow. The DVDs are:

  • Ultimate Energy - The purpose of this DVD is to burn calories and boost energy. It's a good starting point for a spinning program since it will help you build your stamina. After you finish this DVD, you will have more energy so you'll be able to conquer the other two DVDs in the program.
  • Train and Tone - This DVD will put you through a full body workout so you can tone your legs, buttocks and upper body.
  • Turn and Burn - Turn and Burn turns up the heat so you can burn a large amount of calories in a short period of time.

Spinning Program Bike

In addition to the DVDs, users benefit from the bike's design. The bike has a weighted flywheel that serves three purposes. The flywheel:

  • Creates a smooth forward motion that makes the workout feel easier than other types of workouts - Because of this, people have the stamina to continue with the workout. They are less likely tire out early, so they can burn more calories and get into better shape.
  • Allows people to have a full body workout - While a standard bike ride works the legs and buttocks, people who use the spinning program can expect to receive an upper and lower body workout. Because of that, they can work on all of their problem areas without leaving the comfort of their homes.
  • Helps people burn lots of calories with a low impact workout - The program was designed so people can burn calories and lose weight quickly. At the same time, it is easy on the knees and other joints, so people are not likely to suffer from workout related injuries.

Spinning Program for Weight Loss

After looking at what the spinning program consists of, most people still have a question. Will the program help them lose weight? According to the manufacture, people can burn up to 1,000 calories per hour with the spinning program. Since weight loss is dependent on burning more calories than you take in, losing weight with the spinning program is very likely if you follow the program.

The spinning program is a good solution for those who want to receive the benefits of spinning but don't have the time to go to the gym. This in home workout has the same features available in a traditional spinning class, but people can work it around their schedules so they will never have to miss a workout.
