Another featured Beachbody review of the TurboJam DVD workout. The Turbo Jam cardio exercise is covered in detail in our recent hands on reviews.
The rise in Turbo Jams popularity is staggering. People are truly happy with this product and it’s not hard to see why. Unlike most television promoted exercise plans, Turbo Jam relies on hard work to achieve fast weight loss results.
It’s a fact that most exercise miracle-working cures don’t work. If losing weight, and being a muscle toned fitness buff was easy, then let’s face it, most of us would choose to be that way. We’d all be walking around with our shirts unbuttoned to show off our shapely abs and running a few miles a day just because we can.
The reality is so much gloomier. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you have to sweat. You have to work at it each and every day. You have to eat properly, which means cutting back or abstaining from your favorite sweet treats and greasy foods. See also our other beach body reviews:

Exercise (see other exercise reviews) is rarely comfortable. You’re stretching, flexing and working on muscles in order to make them larger and more resilient. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn doing every day things. That’s why it’s a bit hard to believe that by following the Turbo Jam exercise program, you will burn 1000 calories, and drop ten pounds or ten inches in ten days. Frankly, that’s unlikely.
If you were to go to the gym and work out at a high intensity, you would probably only burn six hundred calories in an hour. Yet, the longest Turbo Jam workout is only forty-five minutes. Somehow the numbers don’t match, and are probably inflated in order to sell the product.
TurboJam OverviewIf you were to buy the Turbo Jam fitness program, it would cost you 3 monthly payments of $19.95 plus shipping and handling. You would receive five videos in total: Learn and Burn, which is 30 minutes long, Turbo Sculpt, which is 40 minutes long, 20 Minute Workout, which is 20 minutes, Cardio Party, which is 45 minutes and Ab Jam, which is 20 minutes long. You would also receive Elite 11 flashcards, which show you the moves you need to learn, and how to achieve them. You would also get the diet plan, Turbo Sculpting Gloves and a Rapid Results Program.
For the price, that’s not a bad deal if it works. The question is, does it work?
Many people have bought the Turbo Jam exercise and diet plan, and by all reports, it works. They may not report losing the advertised ten pounds in ten days, but they do lose weight, generally feel healthier and like the program. Does it Work?By combining kick boxing, aerobics and a good diet plan, Turbo Jam works. Discussion boards all over the Internet are full of people saying that the program works for them and that they love to work out using it.
Chalene Johnson is a good host, and the videos are filled with easy to listen to dance music, to keep you motivated.
The biggest reason why Turbo Jam has turned into a fitness phenomenon is that it’s genuinely fun. You get a good workout and have fun doing it. As a result, people keep doing it, and don’t give up. If you can look forward to your workout, then it’s far more likely that you will continue to do it.
Most people don’t enjoy going to a gym every day and pumping weights and running on the treadmill. It’s not appealing, and at the same time it can be time consuming. Most people live busy lives. They work for eight hours or more, have kids and wives or husbands at home, not to mention all the little things that need doing on a daily basis and they just don’t have the 1-2 hours they would need to go to the gym and workout. Add to that the expense of a gym membership and the fact that many people feel uncomfortable working out in front of others, and you can see why Turbo Jam is so popular.
Are there any Cons to doing Turbo Jam?
There are a few things that might deter someone from buying Turbo Jam. Some people complain that the program is hard on their knees, and so they can’t complete the program. Some people don’t like the dance music, and because the infomercial suggests that you will lose so much weight in so little time, they are disappointed when they don’t lose that much weight.
However, while you may not lose the pounds promised in so short a time, it’s definitely no sham that you will lose weight if you stick to the diet and exercise plans. Turbo Jam works the major muscle groups, and while it might not burn the 1000 pounds the infomercials say it will it does burn a lot of calories. Turbo Jam is a total body workout that is fun and easy to use.
That’s the point really. By combining a good diet and regular exercise, you’ve found the recipe to weight loss and total body fitness. If Turbo Jam helps you to achieve that, then it’s well worth the three payments of $19.95.
Along with all of the products you receive when you purchase Turbo Jam, you also have access to their 24-hour help line. You can have live chats with Chalene and talk to others who are going through the same trials and tribulations you might encounter. This in itself can mean the difference between failure and success. If you need a pick me up, have a question, or just wish to talk to others who are using Turbo Jam, you can do it by accessing the 24-hour help line. Our Conclusion While Turbo Jam isn’t for everyone, it definitely is a good workout plan and worth the money. It’s a lot of work and you’ll have to show some perseverance in order to succeed, but if you want to seriously lose weight, get fitter and feel better about yourself, there really is no other way besides hard work to achieve that.
