The P90x Nutrition Plan is centered on a powerful 13-week physical fitness program, combined with healthy eating habits, guaranteed to help you lose weight and regain the confidence in having a firm, toned body. We found in our p90x Review that the emphasis is on the importance of regular exercise to increase stamina and build muscle to replace excess weight. Carl Diekler and his company have developed a super program in the p90x Nutrition Plan that really revs up your metabolism for fast weight loss to burn away those unwanted calories.

12 Exercise Videos
Our p90x Review focuses on the essential elements of the p90x Nutrition Plan including the intense daily workouts and what to expect from p90x. Tony Horton, a professional trainer, provides serious motivation in the 12 videos that are included in the p90x Nutrition Plan. Each p90x video focuses on improving various parts of the body from chest, back, and biceps to legs and abs. Stretching, yoga, and cool down are all important features of these hour long workouts – no easy thing for beginners or the out of shape – but it does get easier as your body adjusts to the requirements in p90x.
Another important point we’d like to make in our p90x Review is that there are no special meal packages to buy – a definite advantage for many. High protein and low fat foods are recommended in the p90x Nutrition Plan, as are more frequent consumption of smaller meals. The p90X emphasizes that most foods can be obtained from your local grocery stores. This is a long-term method of losing weight and one that anyone, at any age, should be able to follow. It is essential, however, to stay with p90x for 90 days to get the full benefits of fat burning, strength and endurance buildup, and to establish a foundation of good eating habits – all of which can be accomplished through considerable time and effort. Although nutritional supplements are mentioned as advisable, this p90x Review does not cover the benefits or provide recommendations for specific products to buy.
Muscle Confusion
One of the reasons why the P90x is so effective is muscle confusion. The workouts are intense and are designed to work each body part daily. After month 1 you are introduced to a new set of exercises so your body doesn’t plateau. This is the reason most of the other exercises fail.
The p90x can be your own personal training and nutrition plan with online support, meal planning, a calendar to mark your progress, and other p90x Reviews and success stories to provide inspiration along the way. The complete p90x set of DVDs, nutrition guide, and detailed guidance can be purchased online. Endorsed by medical professionals, personal trainers, body builders, and just ordinary people, this is an effective fitness program that you can do at home. We considered too in our p90x Review the appeal and practicality of not having to travel to a gym or purchase expensive equipment, although a heart rate monitor and a yoga mat are probably worth considering.
Finally...
We can summarize in our p90x Review that motivation and self-discipline are the keys to success with the p90x Nutrition Plan. We would recommend the p90x if your goals are to increase muscle tone, improve your overall fitness and cardiovascular activity, and are willing to devote some serious time and energy into getting there. You can forget surgery and diet pills, and still be able to reach the desired level of less than 10% body fat through the p90x Nutrition Plan. The decision is yours; however, we hope this p90x Review has provided some information and stirred your interest in p90x.

Hate to break it to you, but 250 at 5'10" IS obese.
With that being said, this p90x doesn't look so bad, compared with most of the "fitness" trends nowadays. I'm just surprised people are paying for something they can do on their own... oh well.
Scott,
I hate to break it to you but weight and height is not the tell all to obesity. "That being said" Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler and the rest of those big ole boys would be considered "obese" in your terms.
No need to break anything to anyone really, what is most important is that Ryan is honest with himself and others and he is ready to make the change. Support an encouragement is needed the most.
You are correct that people can do it on their own, and I am one who tried and tried for years with little to no results. This issue is developing your own plan and then trying if for several months to see if it's going to work, if it does not work then you are back to the drawing board. p90x is tried and true and has helped change a lot of people, you saying: Quote:
I'm just surprised people are paying for something they can do on their own... oh well.
is just like saying that millions of people should not pay for a personal trainer, because they could do it on their own. p90x also offers motivation just like a personal trainer would.
p90x is no trend it is a workout and nutrition routine that is well rounded. It encompasses a lot of different fitness bases to help people stay on track and not get bored or burned out, and most important it works and it works really well.

Well, to put it bluntly I am fat, not obese, but fat, im 5'10" and weigh 250 and im looking to lose weight and at the same time gain muscle, because muscle burns fat.
What im wondering is, will P90X be too strenuous for a beginner?
If so what should I use first?
Ryan,
p90x is really hard for someone who is completely out of shape and was actually designed to help a fit person break a plateau. Now that is not to say that someone who is not fit cannot do p90x, I am proof that an unfit person can do p90x. You just have to pace yourself and take your time. However, if you are wanting to start with a program that will lead you up to p90x then you can start with Power90. p90x was designed for the next step after Power90. Power90 is also a great program and it will help you get ready for p90x. Either way you have options.

, on 29-10-2009 21:08 My boyfriend and I started P90X a couple weeks ago. We are both thin and in decent shape but wanted to tone up. His dad is 60 and also very healthy and active, and his mom in her early 50's. They have tried a couple of the workouts and have enjoyed them. The major difficulty would be trying not to get frustrated with yourself. Because even at 21 and 23, the workouts are pretty strenuous. I would recommend trying the "Power 90" workout from beachbody first. It is intended to be a prep program for P90X. I would say if you can do that for 90 days with no problems then it would be worth it to purchase P90X. There are several modifications if some things are difficult (such as the yoga position where you are balancing your entire weight on your elbows and hands). There are also some youtube videos of P90X so you can view some people doing the workout to see if you may be able to do the exercises without the preparation of Power90. I would youtube -- p90x chest and back, p90x legs and back, p90x plyometrics, and p90x yoga x. Those have been the most difficult thus far. Hope this helps.

The ones I have are um... kempo, cardio, yoga, ab ripper, and plyometrics. Can I still try to use this, will I get any results. I did try the ab ripper last night... couldn't keep up. Anyway, I want to tone up... I weigh 113 lbs... use to weigh 100 lb before my twins. Don't expect to ever be that small gain, but I do hope to tone up. What do you think?"
Of course you cannot try the DVD's you have however p90x is designed and built for muscle confusion. In order for this to work like intended it's very important to have the complete workout program and nutrition program. Get he complete kit you will be thankful you did. I know I am

9. BOB Written by Dennis, on 21-10-2009 11:23 Bob p90x is a great work out i'm on my 3rd week right now. You only need about an hour a day to do this. I work 12 hour shifts everyday but sunday and thursday. You have to want it and then you'll find the time. As far as being in the military and maybe not having access to tv to watch to video. right down the steps and just do it on your own. You do not need much room at all you could do it in the leaving room of your home. I suggest with your schedule and your work enviornment that you get the bands. This is all the equipment that you'll need everything they do in the videos you can do with the bands. Good luck and just remember to be the best and forget the rest BRING IT.

, on 20-10-2009 10:57 Hi, I was thinking about starting the P90X but I work every other week. It would be hard for me to do the weekly excersises but I really want to get back into the same shape I was in in the army. Wouold it still be wise for me to start this program? And if so, how much space do you need? I might be able to take it offshore with me.

, on 19-10-2009 09:21 HI, I am a 5'09" guy, weighting 150 pounds. I do not need to lose any more weight, but I would like to build some muscle on my arms, chest and stomack or tone what ever is more possible in 90 days. do you think the program would help or for my size it is not worth it? Thanks
Ban,
p90x can be used to loose fat / weight or gain weight / muscle it just depends on how you use the program. Tony H. will teach you how to add mass when doing p90x. Basically you will do lower reps with higher weights. You will also want to increase your protein intake.
Let me know if you need any other help.

You just repeat whatever you did for that week again. Just started my P90X yesterday and from my understanding, week 1-3 are repeated before you go to Week 4. And then, a new set for 5-7 and so on.

Also keep in mind the p90x nutrition guide is just a guide, when talking about the specific foods they recommend that you eat. You can eat other foods not in the book just make sure you stick to the correct portion amount that the book gives you and the correct caloric intake. You can use Fitday.com or the daily plate.com to track your caloric intake if you are needing more detailed information.
