12 Exercise Videos
Our p90x Review focuses on the essential elements of the p90x Nutrition Plan including the intense daily workouts and what to expect from p90x. Tony Horton, a professional trainer, provides serious motivation in the 12 videos that are included in the p90x Nutrition Plan. Each p90x video focuses on improving various parts of the body from chest, back, and biceps to legs and abs. Stretching, yoga, and cool down are all important features of these hour long workouts – no easy thing for beginners or the out of shape – but it does get easier as your body adjusts to the requirements in p90x.
Another important point we’d like to make in our p90x Review is that there are no special meal packages to buy – a definite advantage for many. High protein and low fat foods are recommended in the p90x Nutrition Plan, as are more frequent consumption of smaller meals. The p90X emphasizes that most foods can be obtained from your local grocery stores. This is a long-term method of losing weight and one that anyone, at any age, should be able to follow. It is essential, however, to stay with p90x for 90 days to get the full benefits of fat burning, strength and endurance buildup, and to establish a foundation of good eating habits – all of which can be accomplished through considerable time and effort. Although nutritional supplements are mentioned as advisable, this p90x Review does not cover the benefits or provide recommendations for specific products to buy.
Muscle Confusion
One of the reasons why the P90x is so effective is muscle confusion. The workouts are intense and are designed to work each body part daily. After month 1 you are introduced to a new set of exercises so your body doesn’t plateau. This is the reason most of the other exercises fail.

The p90x can be your own personal training and nutrition plan with online support, meal planning, a calendar to mark your progress, and other p90x Reviews and success stories to provide inspiration along the way. The complete p90x set of DVDs, nutrition guide, and detailed guidance can be purchased online. Endorsed by medical professionals, personal trainers, body builders, and just ordinary people, this is an effective fitness program that you can do at home. We considered too in our p90x Review the appeal and practicality of not having to travel to a gym or purchase expensive equipment, although a heart rate monitor and a yoga mat are probably worth considering.
Finally...
We can summarize in our p90x Review that motivation and self-discipline are the keys to success with the p90x Nutrition Plan. We would recommend the p90x if your goals are to increase muscle tone, improve your overall fitness and cardiovascular activity, and are willing to devote some serious time and energy into getting there. You can forget surgery and diet pills, and still be able to reach the desired level of less than 10% body fat through the p90x Nutrition Plan. The decision is yours; however, we hope this p90x Review has provided some information and stirred your interest in p90x.

, on 19-03-2010 11:51 You seem like you have a fire underneath you like I did about a year ago. I was sick of doing workouts and not getting end results. My body is obviously different but I did lose 23 pounds. The plan is laid out and the nutrition plan isnt that bad either. I have a frugal geek budget on an excel spreadsheet that I can email you. It includes guides and nutrition plan as well. If your interested then click on the link and it will explain more. Its the best program that I have ever done. |

, on 18-03-2010 23:50 I am interested in trying out this program, but I am worried that I won't be able to do it. I have never been the weight that I am supposed to be my whole life, not for lack of trying. I already do 2-6 hours of cross country skiing every week, and eat pretty well, however I am 5'6 and 220 pounds. I can do 20+ push ups off of my knees now. Also I live in Alaska and food is very expensive. Are the foods you have to buy all fresh veggies? We pay like $2 per orange up here, so any suggestions on cost cutting would be SO appreciated. Is there anyone out there that has had success with this program that started out as heavy as me??? |

, on 18-03-2010 22:31 P90x can be for anyone looking to either gain or lose weight. If your skinny then you use heavier weights and if your fat like I was then you use lighter weights and more reps. As for Ballard I think it would be a great program for you. P90X is great for any athlete. I'm 30 yrs old and P90x has allowed me to play soccer with the young 20 yr olds. Im also using it to train for a 25k in may. As for natalie their is no specific max weight. If your not in any kind of shape then just take the workouts slow and build from them each day. Eventually you will get through the videos. If your in decent shape then work a little harder at each one and you will get results quick. hope this helps |

, on 16-03-2010 09:39 Jaclyn...You don't HAVE to use the pull up bar. You can use your resistance bands instead. This is what I do since I am not able to do a pull up. Rafael...We cannot tell you what size weights to get. That depends on what you are capable of doing. Get a set of weights so that you have multiple options, or instead buy a set of resistance bands. Also...I DO suggest looking at Ebay to buy it. My bf and I bought our set off of ebay for $65. We got everything...the full set of dvd's, the nutrition book, the regular book with the program, the calendar...everything. It was all in original packaging and in great shape. And we saved a ton of money on it. |

, on 09-03-2010 11:12 It has almost been a year now since I got involved with Beach Body and P90X. I am 23 pounds lighter and still after almost a year Im the same weight but the difference is that I am more cut and show muscle definition. Honestly this program is not for everyone because it takes a whole lot of commitment. You have to commit to the 1 hour/ day and a strict diet with high protein, fiber and low carbs and sugar. If your a novice then I suggest another Beachbody program like RevAbs or Chalean Extreme. You can even try power 90 which is Tony Hortons first program. When I started I couldn't even do a pull up and was using the chair to help lift myself up. Today and even after the first 90 days I could do like 15 straight! NO joke! I even modified because its almost impossible to go straight through a video and not feel any pain or struggle. This is the real deal but get through the first 30 days and all your friends will be asking you how you did it. True story no BS here and now Im an advocate for the all the products they carry. I even got involved in the Coaching program they offer so ask away or check out the site. I have lots of knowledge about all the programs and even the supplements like the recovery drink. My results promote what the program did for me and will do for you. |
18. Can you get injured with P90X? Written by
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
, on 08-03-2010 11:47 Injury can occur with ANY exercise program. You need to listen to your body and realize that progress comes in increments, not all at once. If you push too hard in the beginning, you will be sidelined by an injury which could easily rob you of the momentum needed to continue on. That extra rep or 1/2 lb increase in weight might have to wait until tomorrow or next week. If you stay in the program, it will come. Good quality multi-vitamins with minerals and extra protein are key. You won't build muscle from potatoes and pasta. Muscle is more metabolically active and will facilitate fat burning. Vitamins MUST BE TAKEN WITH FOOD, otherwise the digestive co-factors and metabolic activity required for absorption will not be present and they will pass through you without being utilized. Vitamins and their mineral co-factors are critical for the cellular functions that will result in weight loss and re-shaping, toning and building muscle. Good luck to us all. |

, on 08-03-2010 07:36 China...Yes you can do it! I am in week 6 and still have to do push ups on my knees. Sometimes during really intense workouts, my boyfriend even does some of the tougher ones on his knees. They have modified versions on the majority of the workouts, to help you get there. For pull ups, if you cannot do a standard pull up, then you have the resistance band option. You can go online, like to YOUTUBE and look up how to use the resistance bands for pull ups. Also, fo ryour cravings, in order for this program to really work, you HAVE to be disciplined when it comes to your diet. I highly suggest following their plan (not really their suggested recipes, but the plans actual details.) You can't use "cravings" as an excuse. Weight loss is NOT easy. |
