Introduction

From the television to your home

In the Last Chance Workout, Jillian Michaels takes many of the same principles that are used on the show and transforms them into a format that can be used by you at home.  In other words, when you purchase this workout DVD, what you are really getting is a chance to do the same things that the people on the reality television show were able to do.  Hopefully, you’ll be able to reach your own goals and transform your life completely in the process.

Potential problems with motivation

If there is one major criticism that could be made about this particular workout, it would be that motivation could be a problem.  With home workouts, the general trend is that the harder the workout happens to be, the less likely it is that people will stick with it all the way through.  On the television show, it was possible for Michaels to be right there with the contestants and essentially force them to lose all of that weight.  In your living room, even though you’ll see her on television, the end result is going to be that there is nobody but you there to make sure that you keep at it.

This is not to say that this workout has not thought of that however, because that would be an unfair statement.  In addition to Michaels being on screen and giving encouragement, there will also be many people that were former contestants on the show that are giving you positive visual inputs so that you know that it is indeed possible for you to lose a hell of a lot of weight in a short period of time.  However, it’s a bit like virtual teaching versus being in the classroom.  Even if the teacher is excellent in a virtual classroom, the temptation to slack is going to be there just the same.

Final Thoughts

The Last Chance Workout may not actually be your last chance to turn the tide against poor health, but you need to view it that way in order to have success.  The moves in this workout will do miraculous things for you but that is only if you diligently keep on the workout, in some cases until you’re ready to drop.  If you don’t have that mentality, you won’t get the amazing results that this workout can provide.  That is definitely the major area of potential danger that you need to look at when considering this otherwise excellent fitness routine.
