Insanity Asylum – What’s Included?

Because the system is so intense, users receive several products that help them stay on track and get the most out of their workouts.  The system includes:

  • Workout DVDs
  • Agility ladder
  • Speed rope
  • Calendars and guides
  • Bonus materials

Let’s look at each of these components.

Insanity Asylum Workout DVDs

Insanity Asylum comes with six DVDs, which are:

  • Speed and Agility
  • Vertical Plyo
  • Relief
  • Strength
  • Game Day
  • Back to Core

Speed and Agility

Speed and Agility is a 45-minute cardio intense workout.  You’ll use the agility ladder and speed rope for running, jumping and lunging exercises.  Once you have completed this DVD several times, you should be faster on your feet. This quickness can help you with any sport that you play.

Vertical Pylo

This 40-minute workout will train your lower body to jump higher.  You will use your agility ladder, speed rope and power bands as you go through a series of jumping exercises.  Improved jumping will help your performance on the field, whether you are jumping over a tackler in football or going for a slam-dunk in basketball, so be sure to train hard when you’re using this DVD.

Relief

After you work on speed, agility and jumping, your body will want some relief, which is why this DVD is so important.  This 25-minute program consists of a series of stretching exercise that will help you recover from your workouts and increase your flexibility at the same time.  You can pop this DVD in as often as you want, so be sure to use it whenever your muscles feel sore or fatigued.

Strength

This 50-minute workout helps people become stronger and more powerful.  You’ll need to use dumbbells or resistance bands and a chin up bar to complete the exercises on this DVD.  Once you have your equipment ready, prepare yourself for an intense workout that will build up your strength and power.

Game Day

With running in place, long jumps, tennis swings and air basketball shots, this 60- minute cross training workout teaches people to keep moving through the pain. Shaun T says “No one ever stops in a game,” and he uses that philosophy to motivate people to keep on going, no matter how fatigued they become.  This will help you dig deeper so you can excel on the field or court.

Back to Core

This 45-minute workout helps people build explosive strength. In order to get that strength, you will work on your core, glutes and hamstrings. Once you are finished, you should be able to jump off the line or run across the court with a newfound speed and power.

Now that we have gone over the DVDs, we are going to move on to the equipment that comes with the system.  The system comes with:

  • An agility ladder
  • A speed rope

Agility Ladder

This portable ladder is used in a number of the Insanity Asylum workouts.  From running through the ladder to using it for jumping exercises, this will help you improve your form and increase your focus.

Speed Rope

Similar to a jump rope, you’ll use the speed rope to increase your foot speed, agility and endurance.  This rope will whip you into shape quickly and help you become a force to be reckoned with on the field.

Next, we are going to look at the books and guides or click here to visit the official Insanity Asylum page.

Insanity Asylum Guide and Books

The Insanity Asylum system comes with a:

  • Workout calendar
  • Guide playbook
  • Nutrition plan

You will use these books to stay on track with your health and fitness routine.  It’s important to note that the nutrition plan is a fourteen day plan.  People should use the plan twice in a thirty day period.

Bonus Materials

Along with the equipment, DVDs and books, users also receive bonus materials.  These items include:

  • Athletic performance assessment - You can use this assessment to measure your performance at the beginning and end of the program.
  • Overtime - This 15-minute workout can be placed at the end of any of the workouts in the Insanity Asylum system.  Use this DVD if you want to push yourself even further.

Now that you know everything that’s included with the system, it’s time to look at the pros and cons of Insanity Asylum.

Insanity Asylum – The Pros

There are a lot of benefits that come with using the Insanity Asylum system. For instance:

  • The workouts are used by professional athletes
  • The workouts do a great job of improving stamina, strength and agility
  • Shaun T inspires people to keep going, even after they hit the wall
  • The program is beneficial to all athletes, no matter what sport they play
  • People who complete the program can perform better on the field or court

Insanity Asylum – The Cons

As great as the benefits of the system are, it’s also important to educate yourself on the drawbacks.  The only issue we saw with Insanity Asylum is in the equipment. You will need to provide your own dumbbells, resistance bands and chin up bars.  However, most athletes already have these on hand (or could benefit from owning them) so this will not be a big issue for most people.

The Bottom Line:  Insanity Asylum – Best Sports Workout

After reviewing the materials and intensity of this program, it is clear that is among the best sports fitness programs on the market today.  Users get an intense workout that will prepare them for game day.  From increased agility to improved endurance, coaches and teammates will likely notice a marked improvement in players who use the program.

As you can see from this Insanity Asylum review, the system can help you take your performance to the next level. If you are tired of getting beat on the court or field, consider using the system so you can improve your results.
