Core Rhythms Review
Last Updated ( Wednesday, 22 July 2009 )

Introduction

Creativity within weight loss is the motto of the Core Rhythms System.  This innovative way of approaching weight loss was created by two women that are known around the world for their dancing prowess and for that reason it is a program with a lot of history, research and science behind it.  The basic idea is that you can lose weight through dance rather than through exercise and in the process of losing the weight have a lot of fun and even develop some moves for the dance floor once you have achieved your particular weight loss goals.

You should follow us on twitter.

Pros of the Core Rhythms System

The main advantage that the Core Rhythms System has going for it is that it is a fun system to utilize.  Unlike working out or jogging, a weight loss system based on dance is one that brings a lot of fun and amusement to the table.  This means that just on that basis alone, people will be more likely to continue with this system and that in turn means that their weight loss goals have a much better chance of being realized under this system than under many of the others that are available around the internet.  Being forced to do something often creates a mental feeling of rejection, but if that something turns out to be fun as is the case with Core Rhythms, you just might stick to it long enough for the results to start showing.

Core Rhythms exercises are actually surprisingly targeted to the abdominal muscles .  Because the inspiration for the exercises are Latin rhythms, what people will find is that there is a lot of moving and swaying that directly affects the muscles in that area.  For this reason, Core Rhythms comes with exercises that will work your upper, lower and interior abdominal muscles while at the same time trimming the love handles and giving the back a good workout as well.  Overall, it touches on the entire front and back midsections of your body, giving you a complete abs workout that really won't feel like one because you'll be dancing throughout the entire exercise.

Another thing to love about Core Rhythms is that it actually is quite cheap as far as weight loss systems go.  The overall cost of this system is $59.85 plus the cost of shipping and handling and you can actually make that payment in three sums of $19.95 should you wish to do so.  That is quite cheap for getting a handful of DVDs that you can start using right away.  And if that were not enough, Core Rhythms actually also comes with a full money back guarantee that you can use within the first 30 days, giving you a chance to see if you like the workout before making a final decision as to whether or not you want your money back.  Overall, this is one of the better deals that you will get online in the weight loss field.

Cons of the Core Rhythms System

The main con of the Core Rhythms system is that it can be difficult to get down pat.  While the creators of the website and the system will swear up and down that the dance moves within the system are very easy to learn, most people know conceptually that there are some people that will never have an easy time learning dance moves no matter how basic they actually are.  People without a sense of rhythm will therefore have a hard time getting started with this system, but that is the trade-off that this system makes with the first item discussed in the pros section.  Core Rhythms is extremely fun to do, but harder to learn than simple techniques for simple exercises.

Because Core Rhythms is based on dancing, it is not really appropriate for everyone.  People with hernia problems, leg problems or anything along those lines will not really benefit from the Core Rhythms system because the strain that will be placed on them through this type of exercising will be far too great to deal with.  At the same point in time however, there will be other people that just do not get the benefit of the fun approach through dancing that Core Rhythms provides.  In both of these cases, the strength of the system would instead be a weakness.  For anyone in that position of uncertainty, consult your doctor before you begin this exercise program.

One final con that is worth mentioning about Core Rhythms is that the money back guarantee that was discussed in the pros section is not actually a full money back guarantee.  You get the money that you spent on the DVDs back, but the money that was spent on shipping and handling is gone forever.  This is to be expected as it is the standard money back deal in modern times (after all, most companies will not give you back more money than they themselves have received), but it is still something worth mentioning because most people that make these purchases do not take into account that shipping and handling money does not get refunded.  If the money back guarantee factors heavily into your purchasing decisions, be sure to keep that in mind.

Conclusion

Overall, Core Rhythms is a fantastic exercise program.  It combines an activity that many people find fun with exercises that are highly targeted in order to give abdominal results that are simply to die for.  Core Rhythms, in that vein, is easily one of the better exercise programs available online.  Like most of the other exercise programs however, Core Rhythms is not foolproof.  It is possible to do this program for a few days, get tired of it and put it back on the shelf and it is also possible for people that do not like dance that this program could be even less fun than a normal workout.  There are considerations therefore that need to be made before you invest your money in this program, but for people that enjoy dance it does seem like it would be an excellent investment for the future.
