A review of the better adjustable dumbell reviews covered in this article. If you are looking at any fitness program such as chalean extreme or p90x than you need to read on as you will want to invest in an adjustable dumbbell instead of having a lot of dumbells laying around your workout area. Especially if space and time between repititions is important.
PowerBlock

This is the set used by yours truly. I love the simplicity of it and seems quite durable. They do say to not drop them from higher than six inches or things could start to break. The weight up to 50 pounds and down to 2.5 pounds make it extremely versatile. I LOVE them and highly recommend.

Bowflex SelectTech 552
No conversation about adjustable dumbbells can really be had without mentioning at least one Bowflex product. They were the pioneers in this area, creating many excellent adjustable products that people are still using to this day. The 552 is their latest product, having been released in late 2008. The cost of this product will run you around $450.00 on sale and $550.00 normally, but the range of weights you can use and the resistance to wear and tear that all Bowflex products seem to naturally have certainly makes the cost of the dumbbell worth it.

50 Pound Bayou
This model from Bayou is made from steel primarily with chrome plating over the edges. It allows you to make five different weight adjustments in one dumbbell, but aside from that it does not offer much else in the way of features. The main reason that this dumbbell is popular is because it only costs around $130.00, making it a discount option when compared with some of the other ones on the market.

Weider PowerSwitch 25 Pound
If there is one discount adjustable dumbbell product that you take a look at this Christmas, you should make sure it is the 25 pound model from Weider. It is arguably the most cost efficient model on the market presently as most sale prices currently have it priced at around $80.00 for a pair which is down from their normal price of $150.00. Besides that, it has many of the same adjustability options that other dumbbells have, allowing a fitness beginner or intermediate to easily have access to all the weight ranges they might need for their particular training regimens.

Xvest TurboBells
The Xvest dumbbells are another series of dumbbells that are known for being good products from a quality point of view and this particular model will cost you at least $340.00 if you were to purchase it on sale, with the normal price being in the $400.00 range. The non-sale price is actually quite appropriate, signifying the fact that Xvest is probably one step down from Bowflex in terms of being a high-end workout product. This particular dumbbell has as weight range from 5 to 60 pounds, easily covering the progression from beginner to advanced that more than 99% of people will make.

Bowflex SelectTech 1090
The 1090 was not received on the market as well as its 552 counterpart, but it is nevertheless still a force to be reckoned with, more than likely because of the brand name that it carries. The fact that many retailers have been putting this on sale for less than $300.00 nowadays also helps, since at its core it is a reliable product like everything else Bowflex manufactures.

Reebok Speed 25 Pound
Yes, it's true. Reebok actually does make something else aside from shoes and baseball caps. Their 25 pound adjustable dumbbell is an excellent product, especially considering its relatively cheap price of $80.00. Many women may find this is plenty of weight for their workout regimen.
