Overview
Originally from Thailand, and as far back as 1891, Shark Energy Drink was developed from a pharmaceutical product known as “Kilane” from the Teck Heng Drug Store in Bangkok (which eventually became Osotspa Co., Ltd). The drink has undergone continuous development and improvement and has resulted in today’s light, citrus-berry concoction that will give you focus, endurance, better performance, and more strength and power. And that is one of its best selling points- it goes down smooth, and does not have that medicine or chalky aftertaste that most energy drinks are notorious for.
Today, the drink can be found only in two varieties in the US, the original flavor and the sugar-free version. Both of which contain the following ingredients: Natural caffeine, natural sugar, Taurine, B Vitamins and amino acids. But it is also available in Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Africa, and parts of South America, in total about 70 countries all over the world.
But enough history, and down to the good stuff in the can. Also see our other energy drink reviews and energy drink faq.

Components
- Taurine - this is a naturally occurring amino acid that detoxifies the body, and boosts the oxygen circulation to the brain. It also powers up the body’s metabolism.
- Choline Bitartrate - this helps keep several vital organs and systems healthy, like the nervous system, the kidneys and the liver. Especially the liver, since this substance keeps the fat from accumulating in that organ. Sugar depletes Choline Bitartrate, and Shark puts it back in.
- B Vitamins - are cell food, the cells in the body cannot grow, replenish or function without them. And without cells, the body would go into a complete systemic breakdown. It used to be thought that it was just one type of vitamin, but as it turns out it’s a lot of different but related compounds that have their own specific functions.
- Natural Caffeine - the ultimate pick up chemical and Shark uses only caffeine from natural Guarana berries. In the right doses, caffeine can perk you up, and keep you up. It also has a diuretic effect that can get rid of excess fluids in your system and get rid of that “bloated” feeling.
Putting all these things together can only come from the many decades of hard work from its manufacturers and the fact that you won’t be gagging to get them into your system, is a big plus. The formulation of the product would not only give you the energy boost to run around like Speedy Gonzalez, it will also give you the alertness you need to ensure that your actually know what you are doing while you are running around. Some energy drinks just give you the power, but can set you on “autopilot” even when you don’t want to be. Shark energy drink lets you stay on top of things so that you can perform at your optimum levels.
Important Note!
The regular version may be too sweet for some people or not suitable for people with problems with their blood sugar levels, so it would be better for those people to choose the sugar free version.Recommendation
A great energy drink every time you need the added ‘pump’ to spend time working out, exercising, or engaging yourself in any physical activity.Click here to follow us on twitter and our facebook fan page.
