Which Weight Loss Patch Actually Works?

Introduction

One of the most sought after forms of weight loss success is a pathway that leads through the utilization of some sort of weight loss patch.  Just as an anti-smoking patch can help you by releasing progressively smaller amounts of nicotine into your body to help fight the addiction, so too can diet patches help you with variable rates of ingredient release.  Depending on the type of diet patch, release rates can be constant, increasing or decreasing, because different ingredients work in different ways.  That having been said, it is as difficult with patches, as with anything else in weight loss, to know which ones actually work in the end.  This article will help you grasp the likelihood of success with several well known diet patches.

Green Tea 300

Green Tea 300 is a patch that a lot of people love for one or two very specific reasons.  The first of those reasons is of course the namesake of the patch.  Green Tea 300, as is perhaps obvious from the name, is a green tea patch.  Just as there are green tea diet pills that can be taken, so too are there now green tea patches that can be applied.  The diet pills are extremely effective because of the natural excellence of the green tea substance in this area.  At the same time, since a patch just introduces a substance into the body more efficiently and at a better-controlled rate, the green tea ingredient in the patch is just as good when it comes to helping people that have diet needs.

The second thing that a lot of people love about Green Tea 300 is the amount of the green tea ingredient that you will find contained within.  The 300 refers to 300 mg, which is the amount of green tea that you will get with every patch that you put on.  In that way, the Green Tea 300 patch is identical to the Green Tea 300 pill.  The only difference is the delivery method for the 300 mg of green tea.  In the studies that have been done on green tea, what was discovered right off the bat was that green tea was most effective as a dietary aid when it was consumed in quantities of 300 mg or more every single day.  Therefore, the Green Tea 300 patch allows you to put one patch on per day, get the necessary amount of green tea for optimal weight loss results and forget about having to consume any of it orally.  For some people, that is an absolutely perfect situation to be in and that is why the Green Tea 300 patch is always going to be a strong recommendation.

Slim Form Patch

The Slim Form Patch is an interesting product because it is one of the few products on the market that not only claims to be free of all of the traditional strong weight loss ingredients as well as completely natural, but also claims to be as effective as those other products.  In other words, the Slim Form Patch claims to be completely natural, contain no caffeine or ephedrine and be as effective as products that contain both of those ingredients in spades.

This is the classic something for nothing claim.  The Slim Form Patch is claiming to be effective at weight loss promotion while at the same time claiming that all of the negative side effects that come from using ingredients like caffeine and ephedrine to help promote weight loss will not be present with their 100% natural solution.  The old saying is that free lunches don’t exist and that is something that you should definitely keep in mind if you are considering purchasing this product.

This is not to say that Slim Form is not at all effective.  In fact, for a product that uses no caffeine or ephedrine anywhere in its ingredients list, Slim Form is surprisingly effective in a number of different anecdotal cases.  That having been said however, there is a reason that caffeine and ephedrine are so popular in dietary supplements and patches.  They are easily the two most effective weight loss ingredients in existence and are even more powerful than the sum of their parts when they are combined.

So feel free to try the Slim Form Patch out if you are in desperate need of a patch that does not contain those two ingredients, but don’t expect the stars or the sky.  Limiting yourself to less effective ingredients will produce less effective results.  That means that you need to do more in other areas or use the patch for a longer time to meet the same weight loss goals.  As long as you understand that before you try the Slim Form patch, you should be satisfied with the results that you get from it.

The Pink Patch

According to the creators of the Pink Diet Patch, this tiny patch is going to be able to help you gradually lose weight over time by helping you control the cravings for fatty food that so many people are unable to beat when they are trying to lose weight.  In this sense, the Pink Patch attacks the weight loss issue from the side of appetite suppression and for that reason operates along the same general lines of principle as the Hoodia Patch discussed later.

This patch that was made specifically for the niche weight loss market of young women is hailed by its creators as the best diet patch to ever be created for that group.  According to them, if you use their pink patches you can actually reduce the amount of caloric intake by 1000 or more calories a day even at the same time as you continue to eat your favorite foods.  Because of the ability of this patch to help you control your hunger cravings, the Pink Patch is supposed to help people diet quickly, quietly and efficiently while at the same time doing it effectively.

Even taking into account the natural exaggeration that one expects from a company that is promoting their products, the Pink Patch still makes a number of very high claims for itself.  Whether it has the ability to follow through on these claims is something that can be determined from the list of basic ingredients that it contains.  The Pink Patch contains zinc citrate, L-carnitine, lecithin, flaxseed oil, yerba mate, zinc pyruvate, guarana, 5-HTP and focus vesiculosis extract.  Looking over that list presents a number of interesting lines of analysis.

For starters, the presence of guarana is especially suggestive, as guarana is a natural substance that contains a lot of caffeine.  For this reason, the Pink Patch is right away something that should be avoided by people with caffeine problems.  At the same time, guarana is quite effective as a weight loss tool, even though it does not have the same kick as other potential choices for a patch vis-à-vis the appetite suppression issue.  In fact, as far as appetite suppression is concerned, the ingredients list does fall a bit short compared to expectations.  For that reason, the Pink Patch will likely not work as well as the creators claim it will, although it does have a number of high-powered ingredients that will allow it to function adequately as a weight loss diet patch.

Hoodia Weight Loss Patch

The Hoodia Patch is arguably the most popular diet patch at the current moment in time and the main reason for that would be that the Hoodia patches approach to weight loss is very conducive to allowing it to exist in patch form.  Hoodia supplements all over the world are based on an ingredient called hoodia gordonii.

This is an ingredient that hit the market by storm as one of the most celebrated weight loss ingredients of all time because of reports that several high profile people had been able to lose weight by taking advantage of the appetite suppression that they reported feeling after ingesting one of the Hoodia products.  Any ingredient that is an appetite suppressant is perfect for patches because the patch can regulate the release of the ingredient into your bloodstream, prolonging the effects of the ingredient (in this case appetite suppression) in the process.

Despite that, it is still important to consider the full implications of the patch.  For starters, there are problems with the research that backs hoodia gordonii as being an appetite suppressant.  At the current moment in time, the official scientific research in the most respected peer-reviewed journals is conflicted at best on the issue of hoodia gordonii and there are many nutritionists that outright believe it does not work.  Against those bits of anecdotal evidence however, one needs to weight the anecdotal evidence gleaned from people that are willing to recommend Hoodia to everyone because of the personal results they have obtained through the use of this product.

In the end, that leaves a lack of conclusive evidence one way or another and the need of further research to truly determine once and for all how effective hoodia gordonii (and by extension the Hoodia Diet Patch) actually is.
