Introduction TwinLab is not a name likely to get recognized by most of the people that have dealt with weight loss supplements before. In fact, it would probably be one of the brands falling under the category of underappreciated brand names. In a world of online weight loss where many supplements are not able to deliver on what they promise, the Ripped Fuel Extreme Fat Burner from TwinLab does a better job than most. At the same time, it is pretty clear even without analysis that TwinLab will not be able to deliver on all of the promises that they make. They promise that this particular supplement will allow you to burn weight through the use of only herbs. In other words, without any ephedrine or caffeine, you can still achieve the same results that you would with both of those substances. This seems far fetched at best and fanciful at worst, but only a full analysis of this supplement will reveal where on the spectrum that particular claim falls.

IngredientsTwinLab does not advertise their product as being completely natural and for that they do deserve some credit. There is no red flag greater than an advertisement of full naturalness, because natural ingredients alone cannot provide impressive results when it comes to burning fat from your body. Scientific studies and anecdotal trials have showed this again and again. TwinLab does not attempt to make this claim and that is a point in their favour.
However, they do go on to make another claim. They claim that all of the important fat burning ingredients in their proprietary formula are herbal ingredients. Furthermore, they claim that there is no caffeine or ephedrine in this particular supplement. Whenever someone knowledgeable about weight loss reads those two statements together, a fully different red flag should go off for them. All powerful herbal ingredients usually mean hoodia and acai berry. The first is a hyped ingredient that falls well below where the hype would have you believe. The second is a decent herbal ingredient, but is nevertheless a fruit that you can easily eat independent of the TwinLab product if you really wanted it.
Are these two the main herbal ingredients in this product? Unfortunately, TwinLab does not reveal the ingredients in their proprietary formula. Rumour has it that they are still waiting on a patent for the formula, so one can certainly understand why they would want to keep those secrets under guard. That having been said, it would be shocking if neither of the two ingredients mentioned above were the main herbal power to the fat burning in this weight loss supplement.
Targeted Weight LossTwinLab Ripped Fuel Extreme is supposed to be a product that has the ability to target specific areas of your body for fat loss. How are they able to do this? Without more information regarding the ingredients in that proprietary blend, one can only speculate on how that might be possible. Since that is useless beyond speculating on ingredients, let us instead take a look at some of the results that people have experienced when using this particular product.
For starters, there are some people that have reported that some of the fattier areas on their body have started to lose fat at a more rapid pace than the others. On the surface, this would seem to support the assertion made by TwinLab that their product does indeed have the power to target specific areas of the body and burn the fat from those areas. However, before we start taking these results as proof of that particular claim, it is important to remember the concept of equilibrium in the body.
Defined basically, equilibrium is a state that something tends to go towards when nothing is influencing it elsewhere. If you roll a steel ball down a U-tube, the equilibrium position of that ball is right at the bottom of the U because the forces balance out there. Just as this is true, so too can the concept of equilibrium be attributed to the human body.
The human body has a state of equilibrium that it tends towards when forces are not influencing it away from that equilibrium. If you are overweight and start exercising, the body will start moving towards that state of equilibrium since your habits are no longer pushing it farther away into fat and away from health. Your body has a state of equilibrium, but that idea can also be applied to individual parts of your body. This means that when you exercise or start burning fat in another way (such as the taking of this supplement), your fattier body parts will lose fat faster than the other ones. They are farther away from equilibrium and therefore the whiplash back to that point is more pronounced.
What does this mean for the TwinLab supplement? It means that even without any specific targeting power, TwinLab would burn fat from fattier areas faster than others. That means that without knowing more about the ingredients, there is really no way to tell whether this product actually does target fattier areas or whether it is just good at general fat burning.
The Good News The above section may dishearten you a little bit when it comes to considering this product, but you should rest assured that it is actually good for the product that the above is what is being discussed. The anecdotal evidence available shows that this product does work, so the underlying mechanics of fat burning are not being disputed. The extent to which non-ephedrine burning can work and the claim of specific targeting are the two points in question.
In many ways, reviewers in the modern era need to start weighing supplements against each other and not against past ephedrine supplements. The fact of the matter is that none of the supplements today can work as well as the ephedrine supplements of the past. When this is weighed against non-ephedrine supplements however, you will find that it is one of the best buys on the market.
