Introduction Stacker 3 is a fat burner supplement that has really made a lot of headlines recently, mostly because of one specific ingredient that it contains. The creators of this particular product claim that the use of that particular ingredient will nullify the need for any ephedrine or caffeine because the new ingredient is just that good. This article will take a closer look at the claims made by Stacker 3 and other products like it to see if there is any substance whatsoever to the claims that are made.

Stacker 3 IngredientsThere are many ingredients available in Stacker 3, but the only one really worth talking about is chitosan. Chitosan is a polysaccharide that has been used in many of the most recent weight loss supplements to come out onto the market. It is claimed that chitosan is the perfect substitute for ephedrine and caffeine as substances in weight loss because chitosan can do something that neither of these two ingredients have the ability to do.
To put it simply, the claim made by Stacker 3 and by any chitosan-containing fat burner is that chitosan can attract fat. In other words, it can attract fat molecules and bind 2-3 times the weight of a single chitosan molecule worth of fat. Then, when you expel the chitosan from your body, the fat goes with it. The theory is that if you keep on using Stacker 3, the chitosan in the pills will remove the fat from your body and allow you to burn some really serious fat over the course of the long term.
Is Chitosan the next big thing? Now that the companies have put that particular claim forward regarding chitosan, it is up to the consumer to evaluate that claim. The best way to evaluate a claim like that is on the basis of scientific evidence. Not a whole lot has been done on chitosan, but what little has been done should give anyone pause if they are considering a purchase of Stacker 3 or another product like it.
At the current moment in time, all scientists have been able to produce in controlled experimentation has been an ability of chitosan to remove a very small amount of calories (less than 50) per day from the diet in terms of fat consumed. That is a far cry from the claim of 2-3 times the molecular weight being removed and therefore it seems to suggest that chitosan is the most recent in a long line of over hyped products. There is certainly nothing that should make anyone believe that chitosan is in the same league as either ephedrine or caffeine when it comes to helping a person burn fat.
That having been said, there are some promising aspects to keep in mind when it comes to chitosan. For starters, it is important to realize that a lot of the scientific experimentation is still at an early stage. Therefore, you cannot take the results of the experiments that have been done as the final world on chitosan. With many people willing to swear up and down that this product has worked for them, you should not be willing to discount Stacker 3 fully on the basis of just one side of the story. That would not be the mark of an intelligent online consumer of weight loss supplements.
Secondly, it is important to realize that in a post-ephedrine world, one has to expect a marked decline in the effectiveness of certain products. This is not because the other ingredients available are bad, but more because ephedrine was really just that good. Chitosan does have a proven ability to remove at least a little bit of fat from your diet each day and of course every little bit helps. Chitosan will not do it on its own, but if you combine it with other little bits of caloric removal (diet changes and exercise, for example), it could just be the thing that helps you finally remove that fat.
Chitosan and Stacker 3Chitosan is of course not the only ingredient you will find in Stacker 3, even though it is by far the most relevant. When you put the entire formula of Stacker 3 together, you will find many people that have reported different levels of success. Some people have found that they get the 50 calories a day removal from their diet, while for others they were able to experience more or less. People that were in better shape were able to better make use of the small gains provided in most Stacker 3 instances. Considering Stacker 3 is recommended by the company to people in better shape, this is perhaps not that surprising.
Should you purchase Stacker 3?While all of the above information is interesting from an academic point of view, at the end of the day you are probably only interested in knowing the bottom line regarding the purchase of Stacker 3 in your case.
If you are someone that is really out of shape and is looking for something heavy duty to help you get through the first stages of your weight loss quest, Stacker 3 is probably not the best choice. Even if you are not going to use ephedrine, you will find that there are plenty of other non-ephedrine substances out there that can do more for you in reference to that particular physical fitness level than Stacker 3.
If you are someone that is in moderately good shape, you should definitely start taking a closer look at Stacker 3. If you are someone especially that cannot avoid eating that piece of pie at the end of the day, Stacker 3 is a decent choice of supplement to help you offset some of the caloric gain from that pie. If you combine Stacker 3 with other changes in your diet, you should find that you can still have your cake (or pie in this case) and eat it too.
If you are someone that is in good shape to begin with, Stacker 3 is an ideal choice for the reasons that were discussed above.
