Lipozene Review : Fat Burner or Bust?

Introduction to Lipozene

Reviews of Lipozene to determine if this is a good fat burner or a waste of your money. Lipozene is a product that has been in the media spotlight quite a bit recently, for both good reasons and bad.  It has received a large amount of positive publicity from a number of different endorsements as well as infomercials that have seen a large amount of air time, but at the same time has received a large amount of negative publicity from the practices of its parent company, Obesity Research Institute LLC.  This particular company does not have the greatest reputation around when it comes to honesty and integrity, but that does not mean that any product they create should be dismissed out of hand.  Below is an impartial review of Lipozene that should assist you in your final decision about whether to purchase the product or not.

Lipozene Ingredients

Lipozene only has one ingredient and that ingredient is glucomannan.  This is an interesting ingredient that is derived from a natural source and as far as the scientific peer-reviewed journals are concerned, there is certainly some validity to the argument that this particular substance has the ability to promote weight loss in different individuals.  However, at the same time, it is important to realize that there is a very specific reason that this is the case and it has nothing to do with actual direct weight loss fighting power on the part of this ingredient.

There has always been a positive correlation between ideal weight and diets that have an appropriate amount of fiber.  For that reason, if you take a look at any of the scholarly journals that deal with the subject of fiber in one's diet, you will discover that many nutritionists bemoan the fact that the average person today has such a poor diet from the point of view of fiber intake.  Glucomannan acts as a fiber supplement because of its natural properties and because of that can cause a person on a poor fiber diet to lose a few pounds within their first weeks while at the same time not getting any further gain after that.  In the end, this is the effectiveness of the glucomannan agent and because it is the sole ingredient in Lipozene, it is also the effectiveness of the Lipozene diet supplement .

Our Lipozene Research

One of the best ways to research any particular product is to take a direct look at the effectiveness of that product within the marketplace as denoted by sources such as scholarly journals, interviews with people that have taken the product and general responsiveness to treatments on the part of those same people.  Our research was along these avenues and it turned up reviews on Lipozene that were decidedly mixed.  That is to say, there were some people that experienced some serious gains while using the product and there were others that experienced nothing whatsoever.  For this reason, there were a number of angry customers willing to vent about the product and that in and of itself is a disturbing sight to see for this particular product.

It is important at this stage of the analysis however to point out that these reviews are to be expected based on the information regarding glucomannan that was given in one of the previous sections.  Based on that information, one would expect to see people with poor fiber diets to see some significant early results while at the same time seeing people with good fiber diets to get very little if anything out of utilizing the Lipozene product.

Sure enough, when our research dug a little deeper into the Lipozene reviews, it was discovered that such a correlation did exist. People that took Lipozene in such a way as to allow it to become a much-needed fiber supplement ended up experiencing some early gains and middle to long term holds while the people that already had fiber in their diets had nothing to gain or lose from the experience, aside from the money they spent on the product initially.

Final Thoughts on Lipozene

So, what does all of this information ultimately mean for the Lipozene product?  Well, at the most basic level, the proper conclusion to reach would be that this product is only worth taking if you happen to already be in a fiber deficient diet.  If you have a diet that gives you an adequate amount of fiber each day, you will find out quite quickly that Lipozene will not work for you.  On the other hand, if it is used in a dietary support role for fiber rather than as a weight loss supplement, you might end up experiencing some gains from its use that you otherwise would not be able to get.

For those of you that have come to this section of the review and are interested in purchasing this product, a cautionary note is warranted here.  The company that makes this product is Obesity Research Institute LLC.  They are a notoriously bad company when it comes to honesty and integrity, to the point where they alone have contributed a great deal to the crooked reputation the internet has amongst people that are new to shopping online and do not know how to differentiate the good from the bad.  Even experienced internet users have been taken in by scams perpetrated by this company and for that reason there is a litany of complains and lawsuits against them on this issue.

This does not mean that the above information about Lipozene is negated by the reputation of the company.  Glucomannan has been independently tested and found to be an effective fiber supplement outside of their sphere of influence.  The above information is given to you as advice.  If you want to purchase Lipozene, try to do it through a local retailer such as Wal-Mart or a local drugstore and do not do it online through the ORI website.  In the end, that could prove a losing proposition and it could end up costing you not just the money you paid for Lipozene, but also a lot more should you fall victim to one of their scams.

  1. Well I've been using this for a month and I've lost 8 pounds, along side with regular exercise and an exceptional diet. I didn't order mine with a telephone, though, I simply went to Wal-Mart and bought it off the shelf; buying it there off a one month supply (2 bottles with 15 servings) and it was only $12. People who are actually obese who get this product expecting it to do all of the work, well that's just wishful thinking. Your body need some type of exercise no matter what if you expect to lose weight and you need a healthy diet consisting of fruits, veggies, meats, and SOME fats and oils. It's just the truth. Lipozene capsules are a good way to start getting fiber in your diet, and I'd reccommend them to someone who realizes that adding fiber to your diet, as well as exercise and nutritious foods. Also, doing research about the product first before you invest in it, i.e seeing if you could buy them cheaper at a drug store or super store.
  2. I've been on Lipozene for two weeks and have lost 7 pounds, without diet and exercise. One thing I did notice is that I'm not as hungry as I used to be. I also can't finish my usual dish of food that I used to be able to finish. So, I don't know about anyone else, but it is surely working for me.
